1. Raise and support vehicle with wheels still touching the ground
   Anmerkung

   Ensure vehicle is not charging
2. Open LH front door
3. Lower LH front window
4. Open hood
5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Unterhaubenschürze – Hinten (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
6. Remove bolt securing frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
   Anmerkung

   1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

   

7. Release washer tank neck from washer tank and set aside
   Anmerkung

   1x O-ring, No need to remove hose from neck

   

   

8. Remove the HEPA filter. See Baugruppe – Filter – HEPA (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
9. Power off vehicle from center display
   Anmerkung

   Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box
10. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Anmerkung

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge

    

    

    

11. Remove all four wheels. See Radbaugruppe (Aus- und Einbauen).
12. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Anmerkung

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
13. Remove front aero shield
    Anmerkung

    12x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x nuts, 15mm, 6 Nm, 2x clips, 2x hooks

    

    

14. Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks
    Anmerkung

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
15. Position the oil drain container under hydraulic control unit area

    

16. Place absorbent material underneath brake booster and reservoir area

    

17. Remove fluid from brake fluid reservoir

    

18. Remove master cylinder secondary pipe from brake booster

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

19. Remove master cylinder primary pipe from brake booster
    Anmerkung

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

20. Remove LH front floormat
21. Remove the LH center console side panel. See Seitenverkleidung – Mittelkonsole – LH (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
22. Remove screw and clips securing LH footwell cover
    Anmerkung

    2x push clips, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm

    

23. Remove connectors from LH footwell cover and remove from vehicle
    Anmerkung

    3x tabs, 1x Ethernet connector, 1x puddle light connector

    

24. Remove fasteners securing driver knee air bag to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    2x push clips, 2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal, Support the knee air bag while lowering, The connector / harness length is very short

    

    

    

    

25. Disconnect the driver knee air bag and remove from vehicle
    Anmerkung

    1x connector, Release locking tab, Then release squib from air bag, Support air bag while disconnecting, Connector release may vary

    

    

    

26. Remove the LH footwell air duct

    

    

27. Disconnect brake switch
    Anmerkung

    1x connector

    

28. Remove brake switch from pedal assembly
    Anmerkung

    Twist counter clockwise 45 degrees to remove. Replace if damaged during removal

    

29. Remove cotter clip from clevis pin on brake pedal assembly
    Anmerkung

    1x clip

    

30. Remove clevis pin from brake pedal assembly
    Anmerkung

    1x pin

    

    

    

31. Remove fasteners securing booster to bulkhead
    Anmerkung

    2x nyloc nuts, 13mm, 16.5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

32. Remove brake booster assembly from vehicle

    

33. Position brake booster assembly into vehicle

    

34. Install fasteners securing booster to bulkhead
    Anmerkung

    2x nuts, 13mm, 16.5 Nm, Install new nyloc nuts

    

35. Align brake pedal to iBooster rod and install clevis pin to brake pedal assembly

36. Install cotter pin into clevis pin clip on brake pedal assembly

37. Install brake switch onto pedal assembly
    Anmerkung

    Confirm that the brake pedal is in the home position, iBooster and Brake Pedal must be assembled together for brake light switch to be installed, Push the brake switch into the clip until it stops (don't push so hard as to move the brake pedal), Twist clockwise 45 degrees to set the brake switch, Make sure brake switch connector facing RH side of vehicle with connector pins vertical

    

38. Connect brake switch connector

39. Install the LH footwell duct into HVAC module

    

40. Connect the driver knee air bag and install into vehicle

    1x connector, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

41. Connect the driver knee air bag and install into vehicle

    1x connector, Engage locking tab, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

42. Install fasteners securing driver knee air bag to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new patch bolts, 2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 2x push clips

    

    

    

    

43. Install connectors to LH footwell cover and position for installation
    Anmerkung

    3x tabs, 1x Ethernet connector, 1x puddle light connector

    

    

    

44. Install screw and clips securing LH footwell cover
    Anmerkung

    1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 2x push clips

    

45. Remove the LH center console side panel. See Seitenverkleidung – Mittelkonsole – LH (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
46. Install LH front floormat
47. Install master cylinder primary pipe from brake booster
    Anmerkung

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm, Start nut by hand to avoid cross threading

    

48. Install master cylinder secondary pipe onto brake booster
    Anmerkung

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm, Start nut by hand to avoid cross threading

    

49. Remove absorbent material from underneath brake booster assembly and reservoir area

    

50. Remove the oil drain container from underneath vehicle
51. Connect first responder loop and LV battery
    Anmerkung

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

    

    

    

52. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0
    Anmerkung

    Vehicle connection is integrated into drivers footwell cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle. https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
53. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Service_Redeploy’
54. Select ‘UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYService CAN RedeployModelSX/tasks/UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOY Gen3/tasks/UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYInfotainment Infotainmenthv / Procedures - ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

55. Once firmware redeploy is complete, Verify on center display release notes are present

56. Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level

    

57. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap

    

58. Top off brake fluid reservoir

59. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir

    

60. Set brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 psi

    Connect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power, Set pressure to 30 psi, Attach brake bleed reservoir to brake bleed adapter

    

    

61. Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3.0
    Anmerkung

    Vehicle connection is integrated into drivers footwell cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle. https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
62. Select Actions/Autodiag and search for "bleed"
63. Remove bleeding valve covers and install the fluid catching bottle to LH front brake caliper outer bleeding valve before starting the ESP

65. Repeat the above step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH front brake caliper bleeding valve

66. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH front brake caliper bleeding valves then install covers

67. Remove bleeding valve covers and install the fluid catching bottle to RH front brake caliper outer bleeding valve before starting the ESP

70. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH front brake caliper bleeding valves and install covers

71. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

74. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

75. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

77. Repeat the above step untill clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

78. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

79. Power off brake bleed reservoir and detach brake bleed reservoir from brake bleed adapter

    

    

80. Remove pressure bleeder adapter from reservoir

    

81. Check fluid level

82. Install brake reservoir cap

    

83. Pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure the brake pedal feels normal
84. Mit Toolbox 3.

    3. Wenn die Bremsbeläge oder Bremsscheiben ersetzt wurden, wählen Sie UNBURNISHED unter „Action_Type“. Wählen Sie in allen anderen Fällen BURNISHED.
    4. Klicken Sie auf RUN, und lassen Sie die Routine durchlaufen.

       Treten Sie während des Tests nicht auf das Bremspedal.
85. Remove Ethernet cable from Ethernet port to disconnect Toolbox 3.0 from vehicle
86. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

87. Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install fasteners securing front aero shield to vehicle

88. Lower vehicle partially and set onto locks
    Anmerkung

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
89. Install all 4 wheels. See Radbaugruppe (Aus- und Einbauen).
90. Install the HEPA filter assembly. See Baugruppe – Filter – HEPA (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
91. Install washer tank neck to washer tank
    Anmerkung

    1x O-ring, Ensure washer hose is properly routed after installation

    

92. Secure frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
    Anmerkung

    1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

93. Install the rear underhood apron. See Unterhaubenschürze – Hinten (Ausbauen und Ersetzen).
94. Close hood
95. Remove vehicle from lift
    Anmerkung

    Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
96. Raise LH front window
97. Close LH front door
98. Perform test drive
    Anmerkung

    Per current FRT (00040100) 0.3 hrs, If alignment was adjusted verify tracking, If DAS components were adjusted verify operation, If brakes were serviced perform burnishing
