1. Open all four doors
2. Lower all four windows
3. Move LH front seat forward
4. Partially remove LH rear door seal

   

5. Remove LH 7s Lower C-Pillar Trim
   Anmerkung

   8x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Release clips at the front of LH rear sill trim working your way back towards rear of sill trim

   

   

6. Fold 60 seat into down position

   

   

7. Disconnect logic connector at LH seat frame
   Anmerkung

   1x connector

   

8. Move 60 seat forward using towel bar
   Anmerkung

   With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand

   

   

9. Remove 60 seat rear outboard track fastener
   Anmerkung

   1x patch bolt, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal

   

10. Remove 60 seat rear inboard track fasteners
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal

    

11. Move 60 seat fully rearward using towel bar
    Anmerkung

    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand

    

12. Remove 60 seat outboard track cover
    Anmerkung

    1x clip, Slide covers forward to release from 60 seat tracks

    

    

    

13. Remove center track cover from 2nd row seats
    Anmerkung

    2x clips, Slide covers forward to release from 2nd row seat tracks

    

    

    

14. Release cabin carpet from 60 seat
    Anmerkung

    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle

    

    

15. Remove 60 seat front inboard track fasteners
    Anmerkung

    1x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal

    

16. Remove 60 seat front outboard track fasteners
    Anmerkung

    1x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal

    

17. Remove 2nd row 60 seat assembly from vehicle

18. Move RH front seat forward
19. Partially remove RH rear door seal
    Anmerkung

    Pillar and sill trim have tabs seated underneath seal

    

20. Remove RH rear sill trim
    Anmerkung

    8x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Release clips at the front of LH rear sill trim working your way back towards rear of sill trim

    

    

21. Remove 40 seat outboard track cover
    Anmerkung

    1x clip, Slide cover forward to release from 40 seat track

    

22. Release cabin carpet from 40 seat
    Anmerkung

    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle

    

23. Remove bolts securing 40 seat podium to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard bolts after removal

    

24. Fold 40 seat into down position

    

    

25. Disconnect 40 frame connector
    Anmerkung

    1x connector

    

26. Move 40 seat forward using towel bar
    Anmerkung

    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand

    

27. Remove bolts securing 40 seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard bolts after removal

    

28. Move 40 seat fully rearward using towel bar
    Anmerkung

    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat rearward with your other hand

    

29. Remove 40 seat from vehicle
    Anmerkung

    Recommend assistance, Do not support 40 seat by cushion pan, Support 40 seat by podium

    

    

30. Remove 3rd row seat cushion and disconnect harness
    Anmerkung

    1x connector, Pull LH and RH release lever under 3rd row seat cushion to release seat cushion

    

    

    

31. Remove 3rd row RH seat cushion bolster
    Anmerkung

    1x bolt, 13mm, 37 Nm, Slide RH cushion bolster towards front of vehicle to remove

    

    

32. Remove 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster
    Anmerkung

    1x bolt, 13mm, 37 Nm, Slide LH seat cushion bolster towards front of vehicle to remove

    

    

33. Release clip securing 3rd row carpet to LH support bracket
    Anmerkung

    1x clip

    

34. Make a slit in 3rd row carpet around LH seat belt
    Anmerkung

    Cut a thin straight line on 3rd row carpet from seat belt opening to edge of carpet

    

35. Remove 3rd row carpet from under LH trunk side trim

    

    

36. Release clip securing RH body harness to body

    

37. Make a slit in 3rd row carpet around RH seat belt
    Anmerkung

    Cut a thin straight line on 3rd row carpet from seat belt opening to edge of carpet

    

38. Remove 3rd row carpet from under RH trunk side trim

    

    

39. Remove 3rd row carpet from vehicle

    

40. Open the hood.
41. Remove the rear apron.

    

    

42. Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12-V-/Niederspannungsversorgung (Trennen und Verbinden).
43. Disconnect the HVC logic connector and install logic cap
    Anmerkung

    1x connector, 1x cap, Release locking tab then push the handle downward to release connector

    

    

44. Remove 3rd row NVH insulator

    

45. Empty all pockets and remove all metal objects such as watches and jewelery.
46. Inspect the HV insulating gloves for any damage.

    

47. Put on the HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.

    

48. Remove bolts securing ancillary bay probe lid cover to ancillary bay cover
    Anmerkung

    2x bolts, EP10 5-Lobe, 6 Nm, Discard after removal

    

49. Remove ancillary bay probe lid cover from ancillary bay cover

    

50. Verify no high voltage
    Anmerkung

    Make sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

    

    

    

    

51. Inspect ancillary bay probe lid cover gasket then position onto the ancillary bay cover
    Anmerkung

    Confirm no visual damage present, Replace gasket if damage is found

    

    

52. Install the bolts securing ancillary bay probe lid cover to ancillary bay cover
    Anmerkung

    2x bolts, EP10 5-Lobe, 6 Nm, Install new fasteners

    

53. Remove HV insulating gloves
54. Release positive 12V output cover from PCS cable
    Anmerkung

    1x cover

    

55. Remove nut securing positive 12V output from PCS cable and move cable aside
    Anmerkung

    1x nut, 13mm, 15 Nm, Discard after removal

    

56. Remove fasteners securing ancillary bay cover to high voltage controller (HVC)
    Anmerkung

    4x bolts, E10, 5 Nm + 30 degrees, Discard after removal, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 3x bolts

    

57. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
    Warnung

    Continue to wear the gloves until instructed to remove them.

    

58. Remove bolts securing ancillary bay cover to HV battery
    Anmerkung

    18x bolts, E10 5-Lobe, 8 Nm, Use E10 5-Lobe socket without magnet, The fasteners are captive and will stay attached to the ancillary bay cover

    

    

59. Remove HVC logic cap
    Anmerkung

    1x cap

    

60. Remove ancillary bay cover from HV battery
    Anmerkung

    Inspect the ancillary bay for any missing insulators, Install any missing insulators that are accessible before continuing to next step

    

61. Inspect ancillary bay walls for damage
    Anmerkung

    Any dent or depression in the seal that causes it to not be flat will result in a leak, and cannot be reused, Any paint that comes off the ancillary bay wall, whether or not it sticks to the seal, will require enclosure leak test when reassembled, It can still be reused

    

62. Inspect ancillary bay cover seal to confirm it has no visual damage

    Image up close for clarity, Delaminated and torn seals cannot be reused

    

    

    

    

63. Position the ancillary bay cover to HV battery for installation
    Anmerkung

    Ensure all accessible insulators are present, wearing Electrical Protective Gloves is not necessary once all HV components are covered.

    

64. Install HVC logic cap
    Anmerkung

    1x cap

    

65. Install bolts securing ancillary bay cover to HV battery
    Anmerkung

    18x bolts, E10 5-Lobe, 8 Nm, Use E10 5-Lobe socket without magnet, Fasteners are captive, Follow torque sequence per image

    

    

66. Remove HV insulating gloves.
67. Install fasteners securing ancillary bay cover to high voltage controller (HVC)
    Anmerkung

    4x bolts, E10, 5 Nm + 30 degrees, Install new bolts, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 3x bolts

    

68. Install positive 12V output from PCS cable and torque nut securing it
    ACHTUNG

    Stellen Sie sicher, dass das positive Ausgangskabel richtig positioniert ist und in die richtige Richtung zur Kunststoff-Verdrehschutzkante an der DC/DC-Durchführung zeigt.

    Anmerkung

    1x nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Install new nut, Mark the nut after torque, Make sure rubber boot is not pinched between cable terminal and pass through

    

69. Install positive 12V output cover to PCS cable

70. Install 3rd row NVH insulator

    

71. Remove logic cap and connect the HVC logic connector
    Anmerkung

    1x connector, 1x cap, Align connector then pull the handle to locking position get connector fully seated

    

    

72. Install 3rd row carpet into vehicle

    

73. Install 3rd row carpet under RH trunk side trim

    

    

    

74. Install clip securing RH body harness to body
    Anmerkung

    1x clip

    

75. Install 3rd carpet under LH trunk side trim

    

    

    

76. Install clip securing 3rd row carpet to LH support bracket
    Anmerkung

    1x clip

    

77. Connect 12V/LV power. See 12-V-/Niederspannungsversorgung (Trennen und Verbinden).
78. Install 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster
    Anmerkung

    1x bolt, 13mm, 37 Nm, Slide LH seat cushion bolster into seat frame assembly

    

    

79. Install 3rd row RH seat cushion bolster
    Anmerkung

    1x bolt, 13mm, 37 Nm, Slide RH seat cushion bolster into seat frame assembly

    

    

80. Install 3rd row seat cushion and connect harness
    Anmerkung

    1x connector, Secure 3rd row seat cushion into RH and LH latches

    

    

81. Install 40 seat into vehicle
    Anmerkung

    Recommend assistance, Do not support 40 seat by cushion pan, Support 40 seat by podium

    

82. Connect 40 seat frame connector to body harness
    Anmerkung

    1x connector

    

83. Install bolts securing 40 seat podium to vehicle hand tight
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Install new bolts, Torque at later step

    

84. Move 40 seat forward using towel bar
    Anmerkung

    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand

    

85. Install bolts securing 40 seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Install new bolts

    

86. Move 40 seat to original position

    

87. Torque bolts securing 40 seat podium to vehicle
    Anmerkung

    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm

    

88. Install cabin carpet to 40 seat

    

89. Install 40 seat outboard track cover

    1x clip

    

90. Install RH rear sill trim
    Anmerkung

    8x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Install rear edge of RH rear sill trim into trunk side trim and work your way forward securing clips

    

    

91. Reseat RH rear door seal
    Anmerkung

    Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal

    

92. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
93. Install 2nd row 60 seat assembly

94. Connect logic connector at LH 60 seat frame

95. Install fasteners securing 60 seat frame to body
    Anmerkung

    5x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Install new patch bolts, Bottom seat bolts located behind main carpet, Torque in sequence; Outboard front -> Both inboard rear -> Outboard rear -> Inboard front

    

    

    

    

96. Secure cabin carpet to 60 seat
    Anmerkung

    Strap velcro on

    

    

97. Move 60 seat to original position

    

98. Install 60 seat outboard track cover
    Anmerkung

    1x clip

    

    

    

99. Install center track cover to 2nd row seats
    Anmerkung

    2x clip, Slide cover straight on to clip to 2nd row seat tracks

    

    

    

100. Install LH 7s Lower C-Pillar Trim
     Anmerkung

     8x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Release clips at the front of LH rear sill trim working your way back towards rear of sill trim

     

     

101. Reseat LH rear door seal
     Anmerkung

     Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal

     

102. Move LH front seat to original position
103. Raise all four windows
104. Close all four doors

     If 12V is powered up, Unlatch rear doors before closing
