1. Open LH front door

   

2. Lower both LH side windows

   

3. Move LH front seat forward

   

4. Open LH rear door

   

5. Remove bolts securing rear of LH front seat tracks to the floor panel
   Remarque

   2x patch bolts, T45P, 34 Nm, Discard after removal

   

6. Move LH front seat backward

   

7. Remove bolts securing front of LH front seat tracks to the floor panel
   Remarque

   2x patch bolts, T45P, 34 Nm, Discard after removal

   

8. Adjust position of LH front seat for easy removal
   Remarque

   Move seat to middle of track at most upright position with seat fully up off floor

   

9. Open hood
   Remarque

   Select Controls > Frunk Open

   

   

10. Remove rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    8x clips

    

    

11. Power off vehicle from center display
    Remarque

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off

    

12. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection

    

    

    

    

13. Position LH seat to gain access below seat bottom and disconnect body harness from seat controller
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Release red locking tab on black connector

    

14. Remove LH front seat from vehicle
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance, Use caution to not damage other components

    

15. Place seat on a protected surface
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance, Place seat so the underside of the seat can be accessed

    

16. Remove screw securing outer side cover from LH front seat
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm or 1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm, Ensure the front of the seat is high enough to access the T20 screw, Bolt may vary on build

    

    

17. Release LH front seat outboard side shield
    Remarque

    7x clip, Carefully release outer side cover from seat, do not fully remove

    

    

18. Disconnect LH front outboard seat switch
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

19. Remove LH front seat inboard side shield
    Remarque

    7x clips, Carefully release clips securing inboard side shield onto LH front seat

    

    

    

20. Release seat back elastic straps from seat frame
    Remarque

    2x straps

    

21. Release soft trim retainers from seat frame
    Remarque

    2x retainers

    

22. Disconnect FSC vent heat pad from seat controller
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

23. Remove FSC and FSB vent head pad harnesses from seat
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x bracket, Note one harness is for the seat cushion and the other is for the seat back, The upper bracket aids in routing while the lower clip secures them

    

24. Remove LH front seat harness from seat frame bracket
    Remarque

    1x fir tree clip

    

25. Remove OCS harness from SBR bracket then disconnect
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x bracket, Slide connector upward to release from bracket

    

    

26. Slide SBR bracket upward to release from seat frame

    

27. Open SBR bracket containing OCS harness and route harness between cushion and frame
    Remarque

    2x tabs, Release tabs to open bracket, Routing harness will avoid getting snagged when seat foam is removed from frame

    

    

    

28. Release soft trim retainer from inboard side of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

    

29. Release soft trim retainer from outboard side of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

    

30. Release soft trim retainer from front end of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

31. Position seat upright

    

32. Remove seat cushion from frame

    

33. Release seat cushion trim from below seat foam
    Remarque

    1x strap

    

34. Release Velcro securing 40 seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    Fold back until you reach first row of hog rings

    

35. Remove front hog rings securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    5x hog rings, Push down on foam to allow access to rings, Verify any excess pieces have been removed from foam

    

    

36. Release remaining Velcro securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    Fold back until access to OCS is clear

    

37. Remove center hog rings securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    2x hog rings

    

38. Remove rear hog rings securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    3x hog rings

    

39. Remove seat cushion trim cover from foam pad

    

    

40. Position seat cushion trim cover onto foam pad for hog ring installation

    

41. Install rear hog rings securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    3x hog rings, Push down on foam to allow access, Place hog ring into pliers prior to installation, Start with center ring and work your way out

    

    

    

42. Install center hog rings securing seat cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    2x hog rings, Push down on foam to allow access

    

    

43. Secure Velcro to seat cushion bottom foam
    Remarque

    Secure up to the section where hog rings will be installed

    

44. Install hog rings securing seat cushion trim to foam
    Remarque

    5x hog rings, Push down on foam to allow access, Place hog ring into pliers prior to installation, Start with center ring and work your way out

    

    

    

    

45. Install remaining portion of Velcro securing cushion trim cover to foam pad
    Remarque

    Wrap remaining portion of trim cover over foam pad

    

    

46. Flip cushion over and secure trim strap to foam
    Remarque

    1x strap, Strap located on bottom side of cushion

    

47. Install seat bottom cushion onto seat frame
    Remarque

    Feed trim between seat back trim and seat frame, Maneuver seat assembly as needed for access

    

    

48. Rotate seat assembly onto seat back
    Remarque

    Protect seat from damage

    

49. Install soft trim retainer onto front end of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

50. Install soft trim retainer from outboard side of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

    

51. Install soft trim retainer from inboard side of seat frame
    Remarque

    1x retainer

    

    

52. Install OCS harness into SBR bracket
    Remarque

    2x tabs, Once harness is positioned, Verify tabs are fully engaged

    

    

53. Slide SBR bracket downward to install onto seat frame bracket
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

54. Connect OCS harness and install onto SBR bracket
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x bracket

    

    

55. Secure LH front seat harness onto seat frame bracket
    Remarque

    1x fir tree clip

    

56. Attach FSC/FSB vent heat pad harnesses into plastic brackets
    Remarque

    1x clip, 1x bracket, Note one harness is for the seat cushion and the other is for the seat back. The upper bracket aids in routing while the lower clip secures them

    

57. Connect FSC vent heat pad from LV seat controller
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

58. Install soft trim retainers onto seat frame
    Remarque

    2x retainers

    

59. Install seat back elastic straps onto seat frame
    Remarque

    2x straps

    

60. Position seat upright

    

61. Install inboard side shield onto LH front seat
    Remarque

    7x clips, fully secure inboard side shield onto LH front seat

    

    

    

62. Connect LH front outboard seat switch
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

63. Install LH outer side cover onto seat assembly
    Remarque

    7x clip, Apply pressure to the outer seat cover to fully seat trim clips, trim should sit flush against the seat cushion

    

    

64. Install screw securing outer side cover to LH front seat assembly
    Remarque

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm or 1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm, Maneuver seat assembly as needed for access, Bolt may vary on build

    

    

65. Install LH front seat into vehicle
    Remarque

    Recommend Assistance, Take care not to damage surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle, Gateway configuration update for cfg_frontSeattype is needed when replacing from 4876527-82-X to 4876527-72-X or newer 1st Row LHD LH Seat Assembly with 1st Row Mini-Tilt Motor Assembly

    

66. Position seat to gain access below seat bottom and connect LH side body harness to seat controller
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Engage red locking tab on black connector

    

67. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Remarque

    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

    

    

    

68. Install rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    8x clips

    

    

69. Close hood
    Remarque

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood

    

    

70. Move LH front seat forward

    

71. Install bolts securing LH front seat rear tracks to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T45P, 34 Nm, Install new bolts

    

72. Close LH rear door

    

73. Move LH front seat backward

    

74. Install bolts securing both LH front seat front tracks to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, T45P, 34 Nm, Install new bolts

    

75. Move LH front seat to original position

    

76. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox
    Remarque

    Navigate to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus, Media converter box powered by laptop USB or 12v power outlet, Ethernet connection will provide communication, If RJ45 ethernet connector present at service panel media converter box not required, Vehicles built 4/5/2024 onwards have OBDII connection integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Use OBDII connection if this applies, Some vehicles may have both RJ45 and OBDII, If vehicle has both RJ45 and OBD-II then connect via RJ45, For local connection issues with Toolbox refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695

    

    

    

    

    

    

77. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Calibration’

    

78. Select ‘PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATE’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
    Remarque

    Verify no items on seat during this routine, Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete

    

    

79. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and remove laptop and Diagnostics Adapter Ethernet Harness
    Remarque

    If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present media converter box not required disconnect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable or OBDII connection

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

80. Raise both LH side windows

    

81. Close LH front door
