1. Open LH front door

   

2. Lower both front windows

   

3. Move LH front seat backward

   

4. Remove LH mid A-pillar trim
   Remarque

   1x clip, 2x tabs

   

   

5. Remove LH IP end cap
   Remarque

   4x clips

   

   

6. Adjust steering column fully rearward and fully down
   Remarque

   Via Controls > Steering Wheel, Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

   

   

   

7. Open RH front door

   

8. Move RH front seat backward

   

9. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
   Remarque

   1x clip, 2x tabs

   

   

10. Remove RH IP end cap
    Remarque

    4x clips

    

    

11. Open hood
    Remarque

    Select Controls > Frunk Open

    

    

12. Open glove box through UI
    Remarque

    Via Controls > Glove box

    

    

13. Power off vehicle from center display
    Remarque

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off

    

14. Remove rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    8x clips

    

    

15. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Remarque

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection

    

    

    

16. Release phone dock
    Remarque

    4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel

    

    

17. Remove phone dock
    Remarque

    3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage

    

    

18. Release IP service panel
    Remarque

    2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward

    

    

    

19. Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel

20. Remove IP service panel
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

    

21. Remove center display bracket bolts
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm

    

    

22. Release center display motor connectors
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

    

23. Remove center display shroud
    Remarque

    3x tabs, Slide display outwards until shroud fully clears IP and support, Release the bottom tabs and pull upward

    

    

24. Release center display coax and power connectors
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Slide display rearward outwards from IP bracket and support during connector release

    

25. Remove center display
    Remarque

    Slide rearward, Place on soft clean surface

    

26. Remove IP Decor
    Remarque

    21x clips, 6x datums, 4x connectors, Release each IP decor connector clip from IP carrier then disconnect from IP harness

    

    

    

    

    

27. Remove IP closeout panel

    4x tabs

    

    

    

28. Remove IP LH mid panel

31. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal

    

32. Remove RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Release 2x locking tab on airbag connector

    

    

    

    

33. Release glove box
    Remarque

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

34. Release glove box connectors
    Remarque

    3x connectors

    

35. Remove USB outlet
    Remarque

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip

    

    

36. Remove glove box

    

37. Release passenger IP air duct temperature sensor connector
    Remarque

    1x connector, Carefully release connection and do not damage components

    

38. Remove passenger IP air duct
    Remarque

    2x push-pull rivets

    

    

39. Release passenger IP airbag connectors
    Remarque

    3x connectors, Note RoW variant vehicles may be equipped with only 2x connectors, Pull down spring loaded locks simultaneously to release airbag connectors

    

    

40. Remove IP carrier cross beam bolts
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

    

41. Remove RH upper A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 1x connector, Pull inside of the upper portion of upper A-pillar, Depress 2x tabs to remove each tether from body side, Disconnect tweeter, Then pull upper A-pillar upward to remove

    

    

    

    

42. Remove LH upper A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 1x connector, Pull inside of the upper portion of upper A-pillar, Depress 2x tabs to remove each tether from body side, Disconnect tweeter, Then pull upper A-pillar upward to remove

    

    

    

    

43. Release IP Decor harness from LH IP sub-assembly

    1x clip

    

44. Release LH lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

45. Release center lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    7x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x harness, 1 screw connects instrument panel ground harness. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

46. Release RH lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

47. Release IP trim harness
    Remarque

    1x connector, 2x clips

    

    

48. Release instrument cluster harness
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

    

49. Position lower instrument panel assembly away from IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    Move top edge as far rearward as possible without excessive stress on assembly

    

    

50. Remove IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    Slide IP sub-assembly rearward, Lift assembly up from IP carrier, Ensure airwave vents and passenger air bag are clear of lower IP assembly, Remove assembly out through RH front door, Recommend assistance as needed

    

    

    

51. Remove IP windshield seal

    

    

52. Release IP speaker mesh
    Remarque

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

53. Remove IP speaker mesh
    Remarque

    Lift and disengage from IP sub-assembly

    

    

    

54. Remove IP speakers
    Remarque

    3x speakers, 3x connectors, 9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

    

55. Release air wave ventilation connectors
    Remarque

    4x connectors, Place IC sub-assembly upside down on a protective surface to access connectors

    

    

    

56. Release aero glass assembly from IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    5x screws, T20, 2.5 Nm

    

    

57. Rotate aero glass assembly from IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    8x tabs, Rotate IP sub-assembly forward to release tabs

    

    

    

    

    

58. Remove aero glass assembly from IP sub-assembly

    

    

59. Remove passenger IP airbag
    Remarque

    6x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, Discard bolts after removal

    

    

60. Remove RH SWD duct from IP sub-assembly

    2x push rivets, 1x screw, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

61. Remove LH SWD duct from IP sub-assembly

    2x push rivets, 1x screw, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

62. Remove IP sub-assembly harness

63. Install IP sub-assembly harness

64. Install LH SWD duct to IP sub-assembly

    2x push rivets, 1x screw, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

65. Install RH SWD duct to IP sub-assembly

66. Install passenger IP airbag
    Remarque

    6x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, Install new bolts

    

    

67. Position aero glass assembly into IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    8x tabs, Align 8 tabs from IP sub-assembly into aero lens assembly

    

    

    

68. Rotate aero glass assembly to IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    8x tabs, Rotate IP sub-assembly rearward to engage tabs

    

    

    

    

    

69. Secure aero glass assembly to IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    5x screws, T20, 2.5 Nm

    

    

70. Secure air wave ventilation connectors
    Remarque

    4x connectors

    

    

71. Install IP speakers
    Remarque

    3x speakers, 3x connectors, 9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

    

    

72. Install IP speaker mesh
    Remarque

    Engage leading edge into IP sub-assembly and lower into place

    

    

    

73. Secure IP speaker mesh
    Remarque

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

74. Install IP windshield seal
    Remarque

    Clean with IPA, Allow 1 minute to dry

    

    

75. Install IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    4x datums, Slide IP sub-assembly into vehicle, Ensure passenger air bag and driver vent assembly have clearance past lower IP assembly, Recommend assistance

    

    

    

76. Secure IP trim harness
    Remarque

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

77. Secure instrument cluster harness
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

78. Secure IP Decor harness to LH IP sub-assembly
    Remarque

    1x clip

    

79. Position lower instrument panel assembly into IP sub-assembly

    

80. Secure LH lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

81. Secure center lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    7x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x harness, 1 screw connects instrument panel ground harness. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

    

82. Secure RH lower instrument panel
    Remarque

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

83. Install RH upper A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 1x connector, Slide bottom of trim along IP and speaker grill, attach each tether to body side, Set clips starting at the bottom and work up, Pull seal over trim

    

    

    

    

84. Install LH upper A-pillar trim
    Remarque

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 1x connector, Slide bottom of trim along IP and speaker grill, attach each tether to body side, Set clips starting at the bottom and work up, Pull seal over trim

    

    

    

    

85. Install IP carrier cross beam bolts
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

    

86. Secure passenger IP airbag connectors
    Remarque

    3x connectors, Note RoW variant vehicles may be equipped with only 2x connectors, Verify connectors are fully secured

    

87. Install passenger IP air duct
    Remarque

    2x push-pull rivets

    

    

88. Secure passenger IP air duct temperature sensor connector
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

89. Secure USB outlet
    Remarque

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip, Ensure USB socket flush in glove box

    

    

90. Secure glove box connectors
    Remarque

    3x connectors

    

91. Install glove box
    Remarque

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm, Install screws at top of box, close lid then install bottom screws. Use manual release to open box if needed

    

    

92. Install RH knee air bag assembly into vehicle
    Remarque

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

    

93. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Remarque

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new fasteners

    

94. Install RH footwell cover
    Remarque

    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

    

    

95. Install IP RH mid Panel
    Remarque

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

    

96. Install IP LH mid panel
    Remarque

    6x tabs

    

    

    

97. Install IP closeout panel
    Remarque

    4x tabs

    

    

    

98. Install IP Decor
    Remarque

    21x clips, 6x datums, 4x connectors, Connect ambient bright harness, Secure each IP decor connector clip to IP carrier, Secure IP decor to lower instrument panel

    

    

    

    

    

99. Route display harness behind LH display bracket

101. Secure center display coax and power connectors
     Remarque

     2x connectors, 1x clip, Ensure strain relief clip is secure to linkage arm, Replace clip if damaged

     

102. Install center display shroud
     Remarque

     3x tabs, Slide display downward until shroud tabs fully engages, Set center display back into IP

     

     

     

103. Secure center display motor connectors
     Remarque

     2x connectors, Slide center display assembly fully into IP brackets after securing connectors

     

     

104. Install center display bracket bolts
     Remarque

     2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

     

     

105. Secure IP service panel connector
     Remarque

     1x connector

     

     

106. Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel
     Remarque

     2x clips

     

     

     

107. Install IP service panel
     Remarque

     2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP

     

     

108. Install phone dock connections
     Remarque

     3x connectors, 1x clip

     

     

109. Install phone dock
     Remarque

     2x datums, 4 tabs, Slide datums forward into IP and secure tabs down into center console

     

     

110. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
     Remarque

     2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

     

     

     

111. Install rear underhood apron
     Remarque

     8x clips

     

     

112. Close hood
     Remarque

     Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood

     

     

113. Adjust steering column back to original position
     Remarque

     Via UI>Controls>Steering, Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

     

     

     

114. Install LH IP end cap
     Remarque

     4x clips

     

     

115. Install LH mid A-pillar trim
     Remarque

     1x clip, 2x tabs, Verify weather seal is seated properly

     

     

116. Move LH front seat to original position

     

117. Raise LH front window

     

118. Close LH front door
     Remarque

     Close doors

     

119. Install RH IP end cap
     Remarque

     4x clips

     

     

120. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
     Remarque

     1x clip, 2x tabs, Verify weather seal is seated properly

     

     

121. Move RH front seat to original position

     

122. Raise RH front window
