1. Open LH front door

   

2. Lower LH front window

   

3. Open hood
   Remarque

   Via center display > Controls > Front Trunk

   

   

4. Exécutez la routine ODIN
5. Remove LH front lug nut covers
   Remarque

   5x lug nut covers

   

6. Loosen LH front lug nuts
   Remarque

   5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

   

7. Remove underhood aprons
   Remarque

   4x aprons, LH and RH aprons have 1x clip each

   

8. Remove frunk carpet
   Remarque

   2x connectors

   

   

9. Remove frunk assembly
   Remarque

   10x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 10x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

   

   

   

   

10. Remove HEPA filter housing
    Remarque

    Lift up from bottom and pull out, *Note: There may or may not be a filter in housing based on vehicle configuration

    

    

11. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components

    

    

    

    

12. Remove LH outer hood hinge cover
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

13. Remove RH outer hood hinge cover
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

14. Disconnect cowl drain hose from cowl trim
    Remarque

    1x clamp

    

15. Remove RH wiper arm
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 17mm, 35 Nm, Disconnect washer hose at cowl

    

16. Remove LH wiper arm
    Remarque

    1x nut, 17mm, 35 Nm, Disconnect washer hose at cowl

    

17. Release cowl screen washer supply hose
    Remarque

    1x one way valve

    

18. Remove cowl screen from windshield
    Remarque

    5x push clips, 1x FRL anchor from cowl screen

    

19. Remove HEPA filter outlet duct
    Remarque

    1x clip, Remove clip and pull duct towards front of vehicle to remove, May need to lift on cowl panel to remove duct

    

    

20. Release frunk fuse box
    Remarque

    4x tabs, move upwards from bracket and move forward

    

    

21. Release frunk fuse box bracket
    Remarque

    3x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

    

    

22. Remove wiper motor assembly
    Remarque

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, 1x connector

    

    

23. Release 12V harness from wiper bracket
    Remarque

    1x clip

    

24. Remove wiper bracket
    Remarque

    2x nuts, 13mm, 20 Nm, 2x bolts, 13mm, 20 Nm

    

25. Release air suspension reservoir from body
    Remarque

    4x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

26. Release air lines then move air tank

    

27. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

28. Remove LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

29. Remove rear portion of LH front wheelhouse liner
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 5x clips, Reference pictures for clarification

    

    

    

30. Clamp coolant hose from battery pump 2 to chiller
    Remarque

    Reference pictures for clarification, Move breather hose away for clearance

    

    

    

31. Disconnect LH ride height sensor
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

32. Disconnect LH powertrain coolant pump
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

    

33. Remove powertrain pump 2 bracket from off vehicle
    Remarque

    1x bolt, T30, 10 Nm

    

    

34. Disconnect FDU inlet powertrain hoses from powertrain pump 2
    Remarque

    1x hose clamp, Push hose through wheel arch into frunk compartment

    

    

35. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

    

    

36. Remove LH shear plate
    Remarque

    2x push clips, 3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 1x nylon nut, 15mm, 35 Nm Discard nylon nut after removal

    

37. Remove RH shear plate
    Remarque

    3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, 1x nylon nut, 15mm, 35 Nm Discard nylon nut after removal

    

38. Remove rear aero shield
    Remarque

    20x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips

    

    

    

39. Remove front bash plate extrusion
    Remarque

    2x bolts, T30, 16 Nm

    

40. Remove four center bolts securing HV battery
    Remarque

    4x patch bolts, E12, 38 Nm, Discard bolts after removal

    

41. Position battery table beneath vehicle

    

42. Lower vehicle to table
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance, Align table to vehicle and raise casters to level table if necessary

    

43. Remove and discard remaining eight center bolts securing HV battery
    Remarque

    8x bolts, E12, 38 Nm, Discard after removal

    

44. Remove front four HV battery bolts
    Remarque

    4x patch bolts, 13mm, 30 Nm, Discard after removal

    

45. Remove 21mm bolts securing front of HV battery
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 21mm, 115 Nm, Discard after removal

    

46. Remove ski side covers on LH side
    Remarque

    14x clips, 3x covers

    

47. Remove ski side covers on RH side
    Remarque

    14x clips, 3x covers

    

48. Remove LH ski bolts
    Remarque

    8x patch bolts, 13mm, 55 Nm, Discard after removal

    

49. Remove RH rocker bolts
    Remarque

    8x patch bolts, 13mm, 55 Nm, Discard after removal

    

50. Raise vehicle and remove battery table
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance

    

51. Move battery away from vehicle

    

52. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

    

53. Inspect HV insulating gloves
    Remarque

    Check gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, for information on inspecting HV gloves. https://service.teslamotors.com/documents?model=&keys=TN-15-92-003&vehicle_system=&sort_by=field_date_submitted&sort_order=DESC

    

54. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves
    Remarque

    Use HV cut resistant insulated gloves or HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves, HV Insulating gloves must be worn any time a Hioki Tester or Hi-Pot Tester is used, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003 R5 for PPE requirements depending on vehicle configuration.

    

55. Verify no high voltage at HV rapid mate
    Remarque

    Make sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

    

56. Remove leather over gloves and HV insulating gloves

    

57. Install HV and LV Rapid Mate covers
    Remarque

    2x covers, If covers not available then use masking tape to protect Rapid Mate from debris

    

58. Loosen the acoustic cover on FDU
    Remarque

    This will give you some access to the lower coolant hose

    

    

59. Place coolant catcher under the vehicle

    

60. Release clamp from FDU inlet hose
    Remarque

    1x clamp, Take care to not damage the acoustic cover

    

    

    

61. Remove hose from FDU inverter inlet
    Remarque

    Take care to not damage the acoustic cover

    

    

62. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

63. Remove the fastener from the hose fitting on FDU
    Remarque

    x1 Bolt, 10 mm, 9mn, Area between fastener and cover has low clearance, Take care not to damage acoustic cover

    

64. Remove hose from FDU
    Remarque

    Hose may need to be wiggled to release

    

    

65. Remove coolant fitting from old hose
    Remarque

    1x Clamp, Record position fitting on hose, Inspect O-ring is not damaged

    

    

66. Install coolant fitting on the new hose
    Remarque

    1x Clamp, Verify fitting is in correct position

    

    

67. Install hose fitting onto FDU
    Remarque

    Take care not to damage O-ring

    

    

68. Install fastener onto FDU
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 9Nm

    

69. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

70. Install hose onto FDU inverter inlet

    

    

71. Install clamp onto FDU inlet hose
    Remarque

    1x clamp

    

    

    

72. Install the acoustic cover on FDU
    Remarque

    Take care not to damage acoustic cover

    

    

73. Connect FDU inlet powertrain hoses onto powertrain pump 2
    Remarque

    1x hose clamp, Maneuver hose from frunk compartment into the LH wheel arch liner area

    

    

74. Install powertrain pump 2 bracket onto vehicle
    Remarque

    1x bolt, T30, 10 Nm

    

    

75. Connect LH powertrain coolant pump
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

76. Connect LH ride height sensor
    Remarque

    1x connector

    

77. Remove clamp from cabin LH side front hose
    Remarque

    Pump is located by LH front wheelhouse liner, Reference picture for clarification

    

78. Install rear portion of LH front wheel arch liner into original position
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 5x clips, Reference pictures for clarification

    

    

    

79. Install LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

    

80. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

    

    

81. Remove HV and LV Rapid Mate covers
    Remarque

    2x covers

    

82. Lower vehicle onto HV battery pack
    Remarque

    Before lowering fully use assistance to align the pack using the alignment rods and guide via the boroscope camera or a flexible inspection mirror checking HV and LV rapid mates

    

    

    

    

    

    

83. Loosely install 4 new front bolts for HV battery
    Remarque

    4x patch bolts, 13mm, 30 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

84. Install outer front bolts securing HV battery to body
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 21mm, 115 Nm, Install new bolts, Do not over tighten bolts, Torque at later step

    

85. Install outer center bolts securing HV battery to body
    Remarque

    8x patch bolts, E12, 38 Nm, Install new patch bolts, Do not over tighten bolts, Torque at later step

    

86. Install LH ski bolts
    Remarque

    8x patch bolts, 13mm, 55 Nm, Install new patch bolts, Do not over tighten bolts, Torque at later step

    

87. Install RH ski bolts
    Remarque

    8x patch bolts, 13mm, 55 Nm, Install new patch bolts, Do not over tighten bolts, Torque at later step

    

88. Torque ski HV battery bolts on both sides
    Remarque

    16x patch bolts, 13mm, 55 Nm

    

    

89. Torque remaining HV battery bolts
    Remarque

    8x bolts, E12, 38 Nm, 2x bolts, 21mm, 115 Nm, 4x bolts, 13mm, 30 Nm

    

    

    

90. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

91. Move empty battery table away from vehicle

    

92. Install inner center HV battery bolts
    Remarque

    4x patch bolts, E12, 38 Nm, Install new patch bolts, Do not over tighten bolts

    

93. Torque inner center HV battery bolts
    Remarque

    4x patch bolts, E12, 38 Nm

    

94. Install LH ski side covers
    Remarque

    14x clips, 3x covers

    

95. Install RH ski side covers
    Remarque

    14x clips, 3x covers

    

96. Install front bash plate extrusion
    Remarque

    2x bolts, T30, 16 Nm

    

97. Install rear aero shield
    Remarque

    20x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips. Start bolts with cordless, torque with 1/4 torque wrench

    

    

    

98. Install LH shear plate
    Remarque

    3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, Install new nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm

    

99. Install RH shear plate
    Remarque

    3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, Install new nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm

    

100. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
     Remarque

     Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

     

     

     

101. Torque LH front wheel
     Remarque

     5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

     

102. Install LH front lug nut covers
     Remarque

     5x covers

     

103. Lower vehicle fully

     

     

104. Install air tank reservoir.

     

105. Install air suspension reservoir to body
     Remarque

     4x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

     

106. Install wiper bracket
     Remarque

     2x nuts, 13mm, 20 Nm, 2x bolts, 13mm, 20 Nm

     

107. Install 12V harness onto wiper bracket
     Remarque

     1x clip

     

108. Install wiper module assembly
     Remarque

     3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, 1x connector, Metal dowel slides into rubber boot

     

     

     

     

109. Install fuse box bracket to body
     Remarque

     3x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

     

     

110. Install frunk fuse box onto bracket
     Remarque

     4x locking clips

     

     

111. Install HEPA filter outlet duct
     Remarque

     1x clip, May need to lift on cowl panel to install duct

     

     

112. Install cowl screen to windshield
     Remarque

     5x clips, 1x FRL anchor on cowl screen

     

113. Connect cowl screen washer supply hose
     Remarque

     1x one way valve

     

     

114. Connect cowl drain hose onto cowl trim
     Remarque

     1x clamp

     

115. Install RH wiper arm
     Remarque

     2x nuts, 17mm, 35 Nm, Align tip of wiper blade to mark on windshield, connect washer hose at cowl

     

116. Install LH wiper arm
     Remarque

     1x nut, 17mm, 35 Nm, Align tip of wiper blade to mark on windshield, connect washer hose at cowl

     

117. Install LH outer hood hinge cover
     Remarque

     2x clips

     

118. Install RH outer hood hinge cover
     Remarque

     2x clips

     

119. Connect first responder loop and then 12V negative terminal
     Remarque

     1x connector, 1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm

123. Install HEPA filter housing

     Align opening on back of housing to HEPA filter outlet duct opening, *Note: There may or may not be a filter in housing based on vehicle configuration

     

     

124. Install frunk assembly
     Remarque

     10x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 10x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, Hand start all bolts first then tighten with tools

     

     

     

     

125. Install frunk carpet
     Remarque

     2x connectors

     

     

126. Install under hood aprons
     Remarque

     4x aprons

     

127. Close hood

     

128. Calibrate falcon doors via UI
     Remarque

     Via Controls > Calibrate, Required after 12V and FRL disconnect
