Open the LH front door and lower all windows.
Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See .

Gently place the old MCU on the ESD foam container with the touchscreen facing down
Use a small screwdriver to move the SIM card release tab to the side and eject the SIM card.
Remove the SIM card, with tweezers if necessary, and then set it aside on the ESD mat.
ATTENTION
If the old SIM card is to be replaced with a new one or the old SIM card is no longer needed, it is mandatory to destroy the old SIM card to protect user data. Cut the old SIM card in half through the center of the gold pads, and then cut each piece into half, resulting in 4 pieces.
Use a small screwdriver to move the SD card release tab to the side and eject the SD card.
ATTENTION
If there is no slot on the MCU from which to remove the SD card, provide a note to MRB that the SD card of the returned MCU must be removed and destroyed.
Use tweezers to remove the SD card from the MCU and set it aside on the antistatic mat.
ATTENTION
If the old SD card is to be replaced with a new one or the old SD card is no longer needed, it is mandatory to destroy the old SD card to protect user data. Cut the old SD card in half through the center, and then cut each piece into half, resulting in 4 pieces.
Release the bluetooth antenna from the touchscreen bezel, cutting the cable tie if needed.
Remove and retain the screws (x6) that attach the bezel to the MCU (torque 4 Nm).
Lift the old MCU from the touchscreen bezel, and set the old MCU aside on its back.
Transfer the protective sheet from the new MCU touchscreen to the old MCU touchscreen.
Gently place the new MCU face-down onto the touchscreen bezel in the foam ESD container.
Install the screws (x6) that attach the bezel to the MCU (torque 4 Nm).
If needed, install the SD card into the new MCU.
Remarque
Make sure that the SD card is fully inserted, and that the release tab slides over the end of the SD card, securing the SD card in place.

Fasten the Bluetooth antenna to the touchscreen bezel with the cable tie.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the wiring sheath passes midway through the MCU back opening, so as to prevent rubbing and damage to the Bluetooth antenna wire.
Make sure to properly dispose of the old MCU. Follow the instructions in Unité de commande des médias (mise au rebut) and add correction code 21060107 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
