  • 2023-07-20: Replaced brake hose remove and replace with a step to release the hose from the caliper and replacing the washers.

Retrait

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron (voir la procédure).
  2. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and place an absorbent material around the opening of the reservoir.
    Note
    Placez un matériau absorbant adéquat autour de la zone touchée pour absorber tout déversement de liquide éventuel.
    CAUTION
    Si vous renversez du liquide de frein sur une surface peinte, lavez-la immédiatement avec de l'eau propre.
  3. Remove the rear wheel (voir la procédure).
  4. Remove the brake pad retaining pins and collect the anti-rattle clip.
    Note
    Always check that the anti-rattle clip has not been damaged. This part is easily damaged and is important to help eliminate squeaks.
  5. Use the caliper spreader kit or similar tool to ease the caliper pistons back.
  6. Remove the brake pads from the caliper.
  7. Remove the bolt that attaches the brake hose to the caliper (torque 42 Nm), and then release the hose from the caliper.
    CAUTION
    Bouchez les raccords de tuyaux pour éviter que l’humidité ou la saleté y pénètre.
    Note
    Placez un matériau absorbant adéquat autour de la zone touchée pour absorber tout déversement de liquide éventuel.
    CAUTION
    Si vous renversez du liquide de frein sur une surface peinte, lavez-la immédiatement avec de l'eau propre.
  8. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the caliper to the knuckle (torque 120 Nm).
  9. Remove the caliper from the vehicle.

Installation

La procédure d’installation est l’inverse de la procédure de retrait, à l’exception de ce qui suit :

CAUTION
Remplacez les boulons de correction.
CAUTION
Make sure that the brake hose is aligned correctly with no excessive twist or bends.
CAUTION
Make sure that the retaining clip that attaches the brake hose to the fixed bracket is oriented correctly.
Note
Nettoyez les surfaces touchées avant l'installation.
  • Install new washers (x2) when reinstalling the brake hose to the caliper.
  • Apply an even layer of Silaramic lubricant (1063021-00-A) to the caliper pad slides. Remove any excess lubricant.
  • Apply an even layer of Silaramic lubricant (1063021-00-A) between the shim and the backing plate on the brake pads. Remove any paste that squeezes out after installing the shim.
    CAUTION
    Make sure that the brake pads move freely.
  • Perform the brake bleed procedure (voir la procédure).
    CAUTION
    Si vous renversez du liquide de frein sur une surface peinte, lavez-la immédiatement avec de l'eau propre.
  • Pump the brake pedal at least 5 times to seat the pads against the brake rotors.
    Warning
    Vérifiez toujours que les plaquettes de frein sont bien en place avant de conduire le véhicule.
  • Lisser les plaquettes de frein. Voir Plaquettes de frein - Rodage,
