Actuator - Pedestrian Protection - LH (Remove and Replace)

ATTENTION
Lorsqu’un coussin gonflable ou un tendeur de ceinture de sécurité se déploie, certains composants doivent être remplacés et d’autres doivent être inspectés pour déceler tout dommage. Reportez-vous au Manuel de réparation après collision pour obtenir une liste spécifique d'éléments devant être inspectés et remplacés.

Retrait

  1. Remove the rear center underhood apron. See Tablier sous le capot - centre - arrière (retrait et remplacement).
  2. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Tablier sous le capot - gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  3. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Unité de rangement sous le capot (retrait et remplacement).
  4. Remove the HEPA filter. See Filtre - HEPA (retrait et remplacement).
  5. Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  6. Remove the LH and RH wiper arms. See Bras d’essuie-glace - gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  7. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - Écran d’auvent (retrait et remplacement).
  8. Disconnect the LH pedestrian protection actuator electrical connector.
    Remarque
    Pull the locking tab outward to release the electrical connector.
  9. Release the fir tree clip that attaches the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector to the body.
  10. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH pedestrian protection actuator to the body.

Installation

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH pedestrian protection actuator to the body (torque 8 Nm).
  2. Secure the fir tree clip that attaches the LH pedestrian protection connector to the body.
  3. Connect the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector.
  4. Install the cowl screen panel. See Panneau - Écran d’auvent (retrait et remplacement).
  5. Install the LH and RH wiper arms. See Bras d’essuie-glace - gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  6. Reconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  7. Install the HEPA filter. See Filtre - HEPA (retrait et remplacement).
  8. Install the underhood storage unit. See Unité de rangement sous le capot (retrait et remplacement).
  9. Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Tablier sous le capot - gauche (retrait et remplacement).
  10. Install the rear center underhood apron. See Tablier sous le capot - centre - arrière (retrait et remplacement).
  11. Calibrate the rear doors using the touchscreen.
  12. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connecter et déconnecter).
  13. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "RCM" into the search field, select PROC_RCM_X_SERVICE-TASKSvia Service Mode Plus:Safety & Restraints ➜ Safety Testing ➜ RCM Service Tasksvia Toolbox:(link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
    Remarque
    This routine is only available if the vehicle runs firmware version 2024.8 or later.
  14. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
  15. Exit Service Mode.
