Dépose

  1. Perform Wheel Alignment Check (with Air Suspension).

  2. Using MCU, set suspension to very high and press, open hood.
  3. Exit vehicle and open hood.
  4. Remove underhood aprons.

  5. Remove frunk carpet.

    2x connectors.
  6. Remove underhood storage unit.

    10x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 10x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm.
  7. Remove the front T badge.

    2x bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Done to prevent scratching of the front fascia chrome trim.
  8. Release fascia to lower front aero shield.

    11x push clips, 2x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm.
  9. Remove bolts securing fascia to upper grill.

    2x bolts, 10mm, Torque?.
  10. Turn wheel fully to the right, to gain access to LF arch liner clips.
  11. Remove forward side of the LF arch liner to gain access to garnish fasteners.

    4x push clips.
  12. Release the LH lower front of fender garnish.

    Remarque
    1x push clip, 2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm.
  13. Starting from the rear, carefully pull the LH fender garnish away from the vehicle and disconnect ultrasonic sensor.

    5x heart flex clips, 1x connector, take care not to damage garnish ultra sonic sensor.
  14. Remove the screw that secures fascia to LF fender.

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm.
  15. Pull LH fascia away from fender.
  16. Turn wheel fully to the left, to gain access to RF arch liner clips.
  17. Remove forward side of RF arch liner to access garnish bolts.

    4x push clips.
  18. Release the RH lower front of fender garnish.

    1x push clips, 2x bolt, 10mm, 1.5 Nm.
  19. Starting from the rear, carefully pull the RH fender garnish away from the vehicle and disconnect ultrasonic sensor.

    5x heart flex clips, 1x connector, take care not to damage garnish ultra sonic sensor.
  20. Remove the screw that secures fascia to RF fender.

    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm.
  21. Pull RH fascia away from fender.
  22. Starting on the LH side of the vehicle, release the clips that secure the front fascia by pulling the fascia up and away from the vehicle.

    1x connector, recommend assistance to remove fascia.
  23. Release the harness clip from the lower edge of the radar bracket.

  24. Disconnect the front radar.

    1x connector.
  25. Remove the radar bracket assembly.

    3x bolts, 10mm, 6.5 Nm.
  26. Remove radar housing front cover.

    3x bolts, T10, 0.8 Nm.
  27. Remove radar from housing.

Installation

  1. Install radar to new housing.
  2. Install radar housing front cover.

  3. Install the radar bracket assembly.

    3x bolts, 10mm, 6.5 Nm.
  4. Connect the front radar.

    1x connector.
  5. Install the harness clip to the lower edge of the radar bracket.

    1x clip.
  6. Make connection from the fascia harness to the FEM harness and fully seat fascia.

    1x connector, Recommend assistance.
  7. Install bolts securing fascia to upper grill.

    2x bolts, 10mm, Torque?.
  8. Install the screws that secure fascia to fender both sides.

    2x screws, T25, 1.5 Nm.
  9. Install fascia to lower front aero shield.

  10. Connect RH garnish ultrasonic sensor and Install the RH fender garnish.

    1x connector, 5x heart flex clips 2x push clips, 1x bolt, 10mm, 1.5 NmSeat the Fog Lamp Duct first to fully engage the fender garnish clips.
  11. Fully secure RF wheel liner to fender garnish.

  12. Turn wheel fully to the right.
  13. Connect the LH fender garnish ultrasonic sensor and Install the LH fender garnish.

    1x connector, 5x heart flex clips 2x push clips, 1x bolt, 10mm, 1.5 NmSeat the Fog Lamp Duct first to fully engage the fender garnish clips.
  14. Fully secure LF wheel liner to fender garnish.

  15. Close hood.
  16. Using MCU apply standard suspension level.
  17. Remove cubby under MCU and connect laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.

    2x clips, 1x connector, Drive rail must be ON
  18. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Continental" into the search field, click PROC_RADC_X_CONTINENTAL-SERVICE-DRIVE-ALIGNMENTvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  19. Drive vehicle for radar calibration routine.

    If calibration failure is indicated by Toolbox, re-perform radar bracket adjustment. Time per current drive test FRT.
  20. Using MCU, set suspension to very high and press, open hood.

  26. Release the LH lower front of fender garnish.

    1x push clip, 2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm.
  27. Starting from the rear, carefully pull the LH fender garnish away from the vehicle and disconnect ultrasonic sensor.

  28. Remove the screw that secures fascia to LF fender.

  29. Pull LH fascia away from fender.
  30. Turn wheel fully to the left, to gain access to RF arch liner clips.
  31. Remove forward side of RF arch liner to access garnish bolts.

    4x push clips.
  32. Release the RH lower front of fender garnish.

    1x push clips, 2x bolt, 10mm, 1.5 Nm.
  33. Starting from the rear, carefully pull the RH fender garnish away from the vehicle and disconnect ultrasonic sensor.

  34. Remove the screw that secures fascia to RF fender.

  35. Pull RH fascia away from fender.
  36. Starting on the LH side of the vehicle, release the clips that secure the front fascia by pulling the fascia up and away from the vehicle.

    1x connector, recommend assistance to remove fascia.
  37. Adjust vertical alignment of radar sensor in accordance with data from toolbox calibrations results.

    pitch stud is on the top of the radar bracket.
  38. Adjust Horizontal alignment in accordance with toolbox calibration results.

    yaw stud is on the bottom right corner of the radar bracket.
  39. Mark the top of the radar bracket every time an adjustment is made.

    The radar bracket should be replaced after either of the self-tapping alignment studs have been adjusted 5 times.
  40. Make connection from the fascia harness to the FEM harness and fully seat fascia.

  41. Install bolts securing fascia to upper grill.

  42. Install the screws that secure fascia to fender both sides.

  44. Connect RH garnish ultrasonic sensor and Install the RH fender garnish.

  45. Fully secure RF wheel liner to fender garnish.

  47. Connect the LH fender garnish ultrasonic sensor and Install the LH fender garnish.

  56. Drive vehicle for radar calibration routine.

  57. Disconnect laptop from vehicle and install storage cubby.
