1. Remove clips securing LH rocker cover to front and rear wheel liner
   Nota

   2x clips

   

   

2. Remove LH rocker cover from rocker carrier
   Nota

   11x clips, 11x tabs, Work a plastic trim tool between door panel and rocker cover to release tabs

   

   

   

3. Remove fasteners securing LH rocker carrier to body and wheel liners
   Nota

   3x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 4x clips

   

   

   

   

4. Remove LH rocker carrier
   Nota

   10x clips, 1x datum, Use pry tool to release clips and prevent damage to carrier, Negotiate carrier around rear wheel liner then front wheel liner

   

   

   

   

5. Raise and support vehicle
   Nota

   Ensure vehicle is not charging, Note the MYSP lifting points are more narrow than the MY
6. Open LH front door
7. Lower LH front window
8. Open hood
9. Remove rear apron
   Nota

   14x clips

   

   

10. Remove bolt securing frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
    Nota

    1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

11. Release washer tank neck from washer tank and set aside
    Nota

    1x O-ring, No need to remove hose from neck

    

    

12. Remove HEPA filter assembly
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, then lift up to clear frunk assembly

    

    

    

13. Power off vehicle from center display
    Nota

    Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box
14. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Nota

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge

    

    

    

15. Verify operation of multimeter
    Nota

    Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing LV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals

    

    

16. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Nota

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
17. Remove push clips at left and right wheel house liner to mid aero shield
    Nota

    2x clips

    

    

18. Remove mid aero shield
    Nota

    11x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Fasteners may vary, MYSP will have one less bolt and an extra clip

    

19. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

    

    

20. Inspect HV insulating gloves
    Nota

    Check gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003 R1, for information on inspecting HV gloves. https://service.teslamotors.com/protected-doc/ServiceBulletins/External/TN/TN-15-92-003_High_Voltage_Awareness_Care_Points_R4.pdf

    

21. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves
    Nota

    Make sure to wear Electrical Protective Gloves any time Hioki tester is used

    

22. Install amp clamp to RDU HV harness
    Nota

    Verify meter is zeroed out before performing measurement, Measure single cable. Verify ammeter is installed in correct direction. If current > 0.5A do not proceed with disconnecting HV connector. In this case, start vehicle electrical isolation again to make sure that all was properly shut down. Escalate for assistance as requiredIf current < 0.5A, Ok to disconnect and check voltage at HV plug on the battery side.

    

    

23. Release RDU HV harness from HV battery
    Nota

    1x connector, Release locking tab and rotate the release lever up to disengage the connector, Do not force the release lever up, Ensure the alignment tabs on the RDU header are not damaged

    

24. Verify no high voltage at RDU HV header
    Nota

    Make sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

    

    

    

    

25. Remove LH rear flood port
    Nota

    3x tabs, Remove plastic plunger then release tabs, Internal components will fall out after plunger removal, Discard port and internal components after removal

    

    

    

26. Install LH rear flood port
    Nota

    3x tabs, Install new port, Make sure tabs are fully engaged and port is flush with battery

    

    

    

27. Remove breather plugs from thermal vents
    Nota

    4x plugs, 3x tabs per plug, Discard after removal

    

    

28. Install air splitter hoses onto thermal vents
    Nota

    4x hoses

    

    

    

    

29. Connect enclosure leak tester onto air splitter

    

30. Close both valves on the regulator test tool

    

31. Connect regulator to air supply

    

32. Turn right side regulator valve to the open position
    Nota

    By turning the valve knob to a horizontal position, The valve is fully open

    

33. Set regulator to 0.150 psi

    

34. Open the left side regulator valve to inject air into the ancillary bay
    Nota

    Close right side regulator valve when the pressure reaches 0.150 psi and stabilizes

    

    

    

35. Wait 45 seconds for pressure to settle
36. Record value of starting pressure
37. Wait 60 seconds to test pressure
38. Record value of end pressure
    Nota

    Subtract the ending pressure from the starting pressure: If the difference is greater than 0.0054 psi, check the hose, adapter, plug fittings, and check the regulator pressure, then retest. If the difference is still greater than 0.0054 psi, escalate a Toolbox session. If the difference is 0.0054 psi or less, continue the procedure.
39. Disconnect air supply from regulator tool

    

40. Disconnect enclosure leak tester from air splitter

    

41. Remove air splitter hoses from thermal vents
    Nota

    4x hoses

    

    

    

42. Install breather plugs onto thermal vents
    Nota

    4x plugs, 3x tabs per plug, Install new plugs, Press plug evenly, Make sure tabs are fully engaged and plug is flush with vent

    

    

    

43. Secure RDU HV harness onto HV battery
    Nota

    1x connector, Verify lever is in the upright and open position, Carefully seat connector and allow lever to engage, Fully secure lever and verify red tab is locked, Do not damage any pins

    

44. Remove HV insulating gloves
45. Apply Loctite 222 onto mid aero shield bolts and install mid aero shield
    Nota

    11x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Fasteners may vary, Model Y Structural Pack will one less bolt and one extra clip

    

46. Install push clips at left and right wheel house liner to mid aero shield
    Nota

    2x clips

    

    

47. Lower vehicle fully
    Nota

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
48. Connect first responder loop and LV battery
    Nota

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

    

    

    

49. Install HEPA filter assembly
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position

    

    

    

50. Install washer tank neck to washer tank
    Nota

    1x O-ring, Ensure washer hose is properly routed after installation

    

51. Secure frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
    Nota

    1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

52. Install rear apron
    Nota

    14x clips, Hold rear wall of frunk to keep from flexing while engaging front clips

    

    

53. Close hood
54. Remove vehicle from lift
    Nota

    Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
55. Raise LH front window
56. Close LH front door
57. Install LH rocker carrier
    Nota

    10x clips, 1x datum, Maneuver carrier around front wheel liner then rear wheel liner

    

    

    

58. Install fasteners securing LH rocker carrier to body and wheel liners
    Nota

    3x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 4x clips

    

    

    

    

59. Install LH rocker cover onto rocker carrier
    Nota

    11x clips, 11x tabs, Recommend assistance, Tabs go into cavities on rocker carrier and cannot be accessed from outer side of cover

    

60. Install clips securing LH rocker cover to front and rear wheel liner
    Nota

    2x clips
