Stone Guard (Remove and Replace)

Retirar

  1. Remove the cooling fan module assembly. See Módulo - Ventilador de refrigeración (retirada e instalación).
  2. Release the locking tabs (x14) that attach the active grille shutter to the cooling fan and shroud assembly, and then remove the active grille shutter.
  3. Release the locking tabs (x4) that attach the radiator to the fan and shroud assembly, and then slide the radiator out of the holding mounts.
  4. Release the clips that attach the stone guard to the radiator, and then slide the stone guard out to remove it from the radiator.

Instalar

  1. Align the tabs of the stone guard with the guide datums, and then install the clips that attach the stone guard to the radiator.
  2. Install the locking tabs (x4) that attach the radiator to the fan and shroud assembly.
  3. Install the active grille shutter onto the cooling fan and shroud assembly, and then fasten the locking tabs that attach the shutter to the assembly.
  4. Install the cooling fan module assembly. See Módulo - Ventilador de refrigeración (retirada e instalación).
  5. Perform a cooling system vacuum refill. See Sistema de refrigeración (Llenado por vacío).
  6. Install the underhood storage unit. See Unidad de almacenamiento del vano del motor (Desinstalación y sustitución).
