Brake Fluid Bleed/Flush (IDB) (Maintenance)

PRECAUCIÓN
El líquido de frenos disuelve la pintura. Tenga trapos limpios y abundante agua cerca para limpiar el líquido de frenos en caso de que se derrame sobre superficies pintadas.

Conectar Procedimiento

  1. Revise el perfil de la herramienta de servicio de purga.
  2. Place the vehicle on the 2-post lift.
    Consejo
    Ensure the vehicle is not charging.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Faldón del vano del motor - Parte trasera (Desinstalación y sustitución).
  4. Remove all four wheels. See Conjunto de rueda (Desinstalación e instalación).
  5. Baje el vehículo para situarlo a una altura de trabajo cómoda.
  6. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Conexión y desconexión).
  7. Limpie la zona alrededor del tapón con respiradero del depósito de líquido de frenos y quite la tapa.
  8. Add clean brake fluid to the full level in the bleeder reservoir.
  9. Añada líquido de frenos limpio hasta alcanzar el nivel MAX del depósito.
  10. Install the pressure bleeder adapter onto the vehicle brake reservoir.
  11. Connect power supply to the bleeder tool, and then turn the bleeder tool on.
  12. Set the brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 PSI, and then attach the brake bleed reservoir to the brake bleed adapter.
  13. Bleed the LH front caliper.
    1. Remove the LH front caliper bleed valve covers (x2).
    2. Install the fluid catcher to the inner bleed valve, open the inner valve for 15 seconds to bleed the caliper, then close the valve.
    3. Install the fluid catcher to the outer bleed valve, open the outer valve for 15 seconds to bleed the caliper, then close the valve.
    4. Remove the fluid catcher, then torque the LH front caliper inner and outer bleed valves, and install the covers (x2).
      18.5 Nm (13.6 lbs-ft)

  14. Repeat step 13 for the LH rear caliper, RH front caliper, and RH rear caliper.
  15. Turn off and remove the pressure brake bleeder kit from the vehicle.
  16. Check the brake fluid level and top off as necessary.
  17. Install the service brake reservoir cap.
  18. Pise el pedal de freno varias veces para comprobar que el tacto y el funcionamiento son correctos.
  19. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Bleed Internal Circuits, click Run and allow the routine to complete.
  20. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Corner Stiffness Test, click Run and allow the routine to complete.
  21. Disconnect the laptop.
  22. Exit Service Mode. See Modo de servicio.
  23. Install all four wheels and lower the vehicle. See Conjunto de rueda (Desinstalación e instalación).
  24. Install the rear underhood apron. See Faldón del vano del motor - Parte trasera (Desinstalación y sustitución).
  25. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  26. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
  27. Perform a road test to make sure there is proper pedal feel and brake performance.
