1. Open LH front door
2. Lower LH front window
3. Raise and support vehicle
   Remarque

   Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads, DO NOT position the lift arm pads under the battery or side rails, as shown in red

   

   

4. Release IP service panel
   Remarque

   2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward
5. Using laptop connect to vehicle with ethernet diag kit and Toolbox 3
6. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘TAS service mode’
7. Select ‘ PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link) ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
   Remarque

   Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close oncecomplete
8. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Deflate Spring'
9. Select ‘ PROC_TAS_X_DEFLATEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Chassis ➜ Suspension ➜ Deflate ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

   Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close oncecomplete.
10. Open hood

    Via center display > Controls > Frunk Open
11. Remove rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

12. Remove RH underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums, Remove brush clip at hinge cover first, Take note of clip at headlamp

    

    

    

    

13. Remove LH underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums, Remove brush clip at hinge cover first, Take note of clip at headlamp

    

    

    

    

14. Remove front underhood apron
    Remarque

    12x clips, 3 datums

    

    

15. Remove frunk access panel
    Remarque

    3x clips, 3x hooks, 1x connector

    

    

16. Remove frunk carpet

    

    

17. Remove frunk assembly
    Remarque

    8x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

    

18. Remove LH front wheel center cap
    Remarque

    1x cap
19. Loosen LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
20. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
21. Remove LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
22. Release LH front upper control arm bracket and harness
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 3 Nm, Release with harness attached

    

    

23. Release LH wheel speed sensor clips from RH front knuckle
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

24. Release LH damper harness connectors from LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

25. Release LH damper harness bracket from LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    2x tabs

    

26. Remove bolt securing LH front brake line to LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

27. Release LH ANC sensor and damper bracket from air spring module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Route around links and hang, Take note of how the harness is routed for installation

    

    

    

28. Remove nut and bolt securing LH front air spring module to front lower aft link assembly
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 21mm, 1x nut, 21mm, 140 Nm

    

29. Release the LH front upper control arm from the suspension assembly
    Remarque

    1x patch nut, 15mm, 1x bolt, T50, 60 Nm, Discard nut after removal

    

30. Lower vehicle for access to underhood area
    Remarque

    Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
31. Release remote brake fluid reservoir from LH FST cap
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x datum, Rotate reservoir with bracket out of LH FST cap

    

    

    

32. Release LH FST cap from multi-system beam
    Remarque

    3x bolts, 13mm, 22 Nm, 1x clip

    

33. Release LH FST cap from shock tower and remove from vehicle
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 13mm, 14 Nm

    

    

34. Release air line fitting from LH air spring module
    Remarque

    1x nut, 10mm, 2 Nm, Once air leak can be heard, stop turning until all air released

    

35. Remove VOSS fitting from air spring module air line
    Remarque

    1x VOSS fitting, Slide threaded section back, Remove the collet, Then slide threaded section off of air line, Discard after removal

    

    

36. Remove nuts securing the LH front air spring module and remove
    Remarque

    3x nuts, 13mm, 39 Nm, Use one hand to hold the air spring module before completely removing the last nut, Use caution to not get caught on harnesses and connectors

    

    

    

37. Position and install LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    Recommend assistance, 3x nuts, 13mm, 39 Nm, Use caution to not get caught on harnesses and connectors

    

    

    

38. Remove plug and install air line into LH air spring module
    Remarque

    Press hose into fitting until mark aligns with top of fitting

    

    

39. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
40. Secure LH front knuckle to upper control arm
    Remarque

    1x bolt, T50, 1x patch nut, 15mm, 60 Nm, Install new nut

    

41. Install bolt and nut securing LH front air spring module to front lower aft link
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 21mm, 1x nut, 21mm, 140 Nm, Fully torque to spec

    

42. Route ANC sensor and damper bracket and secure to LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Harness routes above lower links and below tie rod/axle

    

    

    

43. Secure LH front brake line to LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

44. Secure LH front damper harness bracket to LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    2x tabs

    

45. Connect LH damper harness to LH front air spring module
    Remarque

    2x connectors

    

46. Secure LH front wheel speed sensor to LH front knuckle assembly
    Remarque

    2x clips

    

47. Secure LH front upper control arm bracket with harness
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 10mm, 3 Nm

    

    

48. Temporarily install LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
49. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
50. Remove Schrader valve cap from air reservoir
    Remarque

    1x cap

    

51. Set up nitrogen tank kit to fill reservoir
    Remarque

    Verify valves are set to the closed position on the tank, regulator and the air line

    

    

    

52. Connect nitrogen tank hose to reservoir
    Remarque

    Early production VINs have AC valves fittings and need an adapter for schrader fill type ports

    

53. Open valve on nitrogen tank and set pressure to 8 bar using regulator
    Remarque

    Slowly open valve and adjust regulator, Verify pressure is set to 8 bar, If the pressure is not within this range, TAS assisted inflate routine will not operate

    

    

54. Open valve on nitrogen tank hose

    

55. Verify pressure holds on the regulator valve gauge
    Remarque

    8 bar, If pressure does not hold, there may be a leak present, Use regulator valve to adjust amount of psi as needed

    

56. Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3
    Remarque

    Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle. https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
57. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Inflate"
58. Select 'PROC_TAS_X_ASSISTED-INFLATEvia Toolbox: (link)’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

    Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete, Verify the spring is inflated
59. Close valve on the nitrogen tank

    

60. Close valve on nitrogen tank hose

    

61. Close the pressure regulator valve on the nitrogen tank to release the line pressure in the lines

    

62. Remove the nitrogen tank hose from the reservoir

    

63. Install cap onto reservoir valve

    

64. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    Remarque

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
65. Remove LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
66. Perform measurement and inspection between LH front air spring solenoid and brake line
    Remarque

    Recommend usage of a digital caliper, Perform measurement between LH front air spring and the brake hose, The clearance must be greater than 15mm and less than 20mm, If measurement is out of spec then rework is required, Inspect brake line and air spring for signs of damage or rubbing, If component damage is present then create a toolbox session and escalate for assistance, Determine if replacement will be required

    

    

    

    

67. Carefully rework and adjust LH damper tube position
    Remarque

    Note the air springs must be pressurized in order to perform adjustment, Do not adjust if the spring is not pressurized or damage will occurCarefully adjust lower portion of the LH air spring, Grip the damper tube on both sides and rotate slowly, Adjust in direction required to achieve the correct specification, Do not pinch or damage any electrical connections, After adjustment, the LH air spring should be near centered on the lower aft link ball joint

    

    

    

    

68. Verify measurement between LH front air spring solenoid and brake line
    Remarque

    After adjusting strut position, verify measurement between LH front air spring and the brake hose again, The clearance must be greater than 15mm and less than 20mm

    

    

69. Install LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
70. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    Remarque

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
71. Torque LH front wheel
    Remarque

    5x nuts, 21 mm, 175 Nm
72. Install LH front wheel center cap
    Remarque

    1x cap, Verify emblem is aligned with valve stem
73. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘TAS service mode’
74. Select ‘ PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-NORMAL-MODEvia Toolbox: (link) ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
    Remarque

    Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
75. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop and ethernet diag kit
    Remarque

    If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present media converter box not required. Disconnect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable
76. Install IP service panel
    Remarque

    2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP

    

    

77. Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode" and set to "Standard"
    Remarque

    Using center display > Controls > Service > ''Jack Mode'', Using center display > Controls > Suspension > ''Standard''
78. Secure LH FST cap to shock tower
    Remarque

    1x bolt, 13mm, 14 Nm

    

    

79. Secure LH FST cap to multi-system beam
    Remarque

    3x bolts, 13mm, 22 Nm, 1x clip

    

80. Secure remote brake fluid reservoir to LH FST cap
    Remarque

    2x bolts, 10mm 8 Nm, 1x datum, Rotate reservoir with bracket on to LH FST cap

    

    

81. Install frunk assembly
    Remarque

    8x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

    

    

82. Install frunk carpet
    Remarque

    Verify carpet is properly seated under the seal

    

    

83. Install frunk access panel
    Remarque

    3x clips, 3x hooks, 1x connector

    

    

84. Install front underhood apron
    Remarque

    12x clips, 3x datums

    

    

85. Install RH underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

    

86. Install LH underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

    

87. Install rear underhood apron
    Remarque

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

88. Close hood
    Remarque

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
89. Remove vehicle from lift
    Remarque

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
90. Raise LH front window
91. Close LH front door
92. Reportez-vous aux tableaux des exigences d’alignement pour déterminer si une vérification du parallélisme EPAS ou une vérification du parallélisme des quatre roues doit être effectuée.
