Raise Vehicle on 2 Post Lift

Install

  1. Position vehicle centrally between lift posts.

    CAUTION
    Perform a visual check of the lift according to the equipment operator's manual before using the lift.
  2. Position front lifting pads under vehicle chassis where marked on vehicle.
  3. Remove lifting pads from rear lift arms.
  4. Position rear lifting arm under vehicle chassis to approximate position.
  5. Install rear lifting adapter 1001010 (2 Post Lift Adapter) into chassis location hole. Compress the bottom of lifting adapter, maneuver lift arm into position and locate lifting adapter in hole on lift arm.
  6. Rotate lifting adapter collar into position.
  7. Repeat steps above for the other side.
  8. With assistance, raise the lift slightly and check the following:
    • Make sure that the lift adapters are correctly aligned in the arms.
    • Check the balance of the vehicle.
    • Make sure that the four arms are properly locked and cannot rotate.
  9. Raise the vehicle to the necessary service height, and then lower the lift until the safety locks are properly engaged.

Remove

  1. Make sure that no tools, equipment, other items, or personnel are under the vehicle or under any open doors.
  2. Disengage any lift safety locks, and fully lower the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    To avoid injuries, stay clear from the vehicle.
  3. Move the lifting arms fully out from under the vehicle, and lower the lifting pads.
  4. Reinstall the lifting pads to the rear lift arms.
  5. Remove the rear lifting adapter from the chassis location hole.
  6. Close any open hood, trunk, or doors as necessary.
  7. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
