Brake Disc - Rear - LH - Roadster 1.5

Correction code 33010202

Remove

  1. Raise and support vehicle.

    Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.

  2. Remove the wheel (torque 105 Nm).
  3. Disconnect park brake inner cable from caliper lever.
  4. Release cable rubber seal and disconnect park brake outer cable from caliper.
  5. Release brake hose clip from track control arm.
  6. Remove upper bolt securing caliper to upright (torque 45 Nm). Use the Service S-hook tool to hang the caliper.

    Note
    When installing, apply Loctite®680™ retaining compound to bolt/screw threads.
  7. Remove lower bolt securing caliper to upright, release caliper and tie aside (torque (torque 25 Nm) Nm).

    When installing, apply Loctite®680™ retaining compound to bolt/screw threads.
  8. Remove screw securing brake disc to hub and remove disc (torque 20 Nm).

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Clean mating face of hub and disc.
  2. Pump brake pedal at least 5 times to seat pads against brake disc.

    Always check that brake pads are seated correctly before driving the vehicle.
  3. Check park brake adjustment.
