Parking Brake - Adjust

Correction code 33050602

Remove

  1. Make sure that park brake lever is released.
  2. Remove rear diffuser tray panel (refer to procedure).

Adjust

  1. Loosen lock nut on park brake cable.
  2. Restrain outer cable and gradually rotate adjustment nut on cable until all excess free play is removed from the cable.
  3. Operate park brake and release fully.
  4. Make sure that park brake caliper levers are fully returned.
  5. Measure the clearance between cable abutment and brake lever. The correct clearance at each caliper is 76 mm.
  6. If necessary, adjust the cable free play at the abutment bracket to achieve the correct clearance at the calipers.
  7. Once the correct clearance has been achieved, tighten the cable lock nut.

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
