1. Open the LH front door.
2. Lower both front windows.
3. Move the LH front seat backward.
4. Remove LH IP end cap
   Nota

   7x clips, 1x datum, Ensure clip at IP carrier is released fully before removal

   

   

   

5. Remove LH mid A-pillar trim
   Nota

   2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

   

   

   

6. Remove IP LH mid panel
   Nota

   6x tabs

   

   

   

7. Remove LH sun visor bezel
   Nota

   6x clips, 5x tabs, Release clips, then slide bezel towards front of vehicle to release

   

   

   

   

8. Release LH upper A-pillar from body
   Nota

   2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 5 Nm, Discard nut after removal

   

9. Remove LH upper A-pillar from vehicle
   Nota

   1x connector, 2x datums, 6x clips, Release clips and rotate pillar inboard to access connector, Release datums upward out of IP sub assembly

   

   

   

10. Adjust steering column fully out and fully down
    Nota

    Via UI > Controls > Steering , Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

    

    

    

11. Open the RH front door.
12. Move the RH front seat backward.
13. Open the hood.

    

14. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.

    

15. Remove the rear underhood apron.

    

    

16. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

    

    

    

17. Remove RH IP end cap

18. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
    Nota

    2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

    

    

    

19. Remove RH front door sill trim panel

    8x clips, 3x datums

    

    

20. Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
    Nota

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

    

21. Remove RH sun visor bezel
    Nota

    6x clips, 1x tab, Release clips, then slide bezel towards front of vehicle to release

    

    

    

22. Release RH upper A-pillar from body
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 5 Nm, Discard nut after removal

    

23. Remove RH upper A-pillar from vehicle
    Nota

    1x connector, 2x datums, Rotate pillar inboard to access connector, Release datums upward out of IP sub assembly

    

    

    

24. Release phone dock
    Nota

    4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel

    

    

25. Remove phone dock
    Nota

    3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage

    

    

26. Release the IP service panel.

    

    

    

27. Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel

28. Remove IP service panel

29. Remove center display bracket bolts

31. Release center display coax and power connectors

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Slide display rearward outwards from IP bracket and support during connector release

    

32. Remove center display

    Slide rearward, Place on soft clean surface

    

33. Remove IP closeout panel

35. Remove IP Decor

40. Remove the RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle

    2x connectors, 1x clip, 6x tabs, Release 2x locking tab on air bag connector

    

    

41. Release glove box

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

42. Release glove box connectors

43. Remove USB outlet

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip

45. Release passenger IP air duct temperature sensor connector

    2x push-pull rivets

    

    

47. Remove IP carrier cross beam screws

    2x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm

    

    

48. Release passenger IP airbag connectors

    3x connectors, Pull down spring loaded locks simultaneously to release airbag connectors

    

    

49. Release RH lower instrument panel
    Nota

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

50. Release center lower instrument panel

    6x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

51. Release LH lower instrument panel

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

52. Release instrument cluster harness

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

    

53. Release IP trim harness

54. Position lower instrument panel assembly away from IP sub-assembly

    6x datums, Move top edge as far rearward as possible without excessive stress on assembly

    

55. Release IP ground harness
    Nota

    1x clip, 1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm, Note routing behind center display RH bracket. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

56. Remove IP sub-assembly
    Nota

    Slide IP sub-assembly rearward, Lift assembly up from IP carrier, Ensure airwave vents and passenger air bag are clear of lower IP assembly, Remove assembly out through RH front door, Recommend assistance as needed

    

    

    

57. Install IP sub-assembly
    Nota

    4x datums, Slide IP sub-assembly into vehicle, Ensure passenger air bag and driver vent assembly have clearance past lower IP assembly, Engage IP sub-assembly datums into dash slots, Recommend assistance

    

    

    

58. Secure IP ground harness
    Nota

    1x clip, 1x bolt, 10mm, 3.5 Nm, Note routing behind center display RH bracket. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

    

59. Secure IP trim harness

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

    

60. Secure instrument cluster harness

61. Position lower instrument panel assembly into IP sub-assembly

    

62. Secure LH lower instrument panel

    21x clips, 6x datums, 4x connectors, Connect ambient bright harness, Secure each IP decor connector clip to IP carrier, Secure IP decor to lower instrument panel

    

    

    

    

    

70. Secure USB outlet

    2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x clip, Ensure USB socket flush in glove box

    

    

    

71. Secure glove box connectors

    3x connectors, Route harness through glove box datums

    

72. Install glove box

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

73. Install RH knee air bag assembly onto vehicle
    Nota

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

    

74. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip

    

75. Install RH console side carpet
    Nota

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

76. Install RH footwell cover
    Nota

    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

    

    

77. Install RH lower A-pillar trim
    Nota

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

78. Install RH front door sill trim panel

    8x clips, 3x datums

    

    

79. Install RH front floor mat

    

80. Position RH upper A-pillar to vehicle
    Nota

    1x connector, 2x datums, Secure RH upper A-pillar harness, Align datums into IP sub assembly, Rotate upper A-pillar panel into position

    

    

    

81. Secure RH upper A-pillar to body
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 5 Nm, Install new nut

    

82. Install RH sun visor bezel
    Nota

    6x clips, 1x tab, Insert tab and slide bezel towards rear of vehicle, then secure clips

    

    

83. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
    Nota

    2x clips, 3x datums, Verify weather seal is seated properly

    

    

    

84. Install RH IP end cap
    Nota

    3x clips

    

85. Install IP RH mid Panel
    Nota

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

    

86. Install IP closeout panel

87. Route display harness behind LH display bracket

    

88. Secure center display coax and power connectors
    Nota

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Ensure strain relief clip is secure to linkage arm, Replace clip if damaged

    

89. Install center display shroud
    Nota

    3x tabs, Slide display downward until shroud tabs fully engages

    

    

90. Secure center display to IP carrier
    Nota

    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm, Slide center display into IP carrier, Start RH bolt first

    

    

    

91. Secure IP service panel connector
    Nota

    1x connector

    

    

92. Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel
    Nota

    2x clips

    

    

    

93. Install the IP service panel.

    

    

94. Install phone dock connections
    Nota

    3x connectors, 1x clip

    

    

95. Install phone dock
    Nota

    2x datums, 4 tabs, Slide datums forward into IP and secure tabs down into center console

    

    

96. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.

    

    

97. Install the rear underhood apron.

    

    

98. Close the hood.
99. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
100. Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.

     

101. Close the RH front door.
102. Position LH upper A-pillar to vehicle
     Nota

     1x connector, 2x datums, 6x clips, Secure LH upper A-pillar harness, Align datums into IP sub assembly, Rotate upper A-pillar panel into position engaging clips fully

     

     

     

103. Secure LH upper A-pillar to body
     Nota

     2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 1x nyloc nut, 13mm, 5 Nm, Install new nut

     

104. Install LH sun visor bezel
     Nota

     6x clips, 5x tabs, Insert tabs and slide bezel towards rear of vehicle, then secure clips

     

     

105. Install IP LH mid panel
     Nota

     6x tabs

     

     

     

106. Install LH mid A-pillar trim
     Nota

     2x clips, 3x datums, Insert mid A-pillar trim into lower A-pillar trim, Secure clips into upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Verify weather seal is seated properly

     

     

     

107. Install LH IP end cap
     Nota

     7x clips, 1x datum

     

     

108. Adjust steering column back to original position
     Nota

     Via UI>Controls>Steering , Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

     

     

     

109. Move the LH front seat to its original position.
110. Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.

     

111. Raise both front windows.
112. Close the LH front door.
