Reflex Lens - Rear - RH (Model Y L) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Fold the 3rd row seatback down.

    Note
    Protect the seat back upholstery from any potential scratch or damage.
  3. Release the clips (x14), locator pins (x2), and tabs (x2) that attach the RH trunk side trim to the body.

    Note
    This is to aid the removal of the C-pillar upper trim.
  4. Release the clips (x10), locator pins (x4), and tabs (x3) that attach the RH C-pillar upper trim to the body.

    Note
    Use caution not to damage the C-pillar trim.
  5. Remove the RH reflex lens assembly.
    1. Loosen the clips (x3) securing the reflex assembly inside the vehicle using a 7 mm socket with your left hand.

      TIp
      Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
      • EXT, 1/2" DR, 6"; SKT, 1/4" DR, SHALLOW, 7MM
    2. Pull the reflex lens assembly outward with your right hand, applying appropriate force.

Install

  1. Place the RH reflex lens onto the vehicle and press gently to fully seat the clips (x3).
  2. Adjust the RH reflex to ensure it is flush with the rear quarter panel.
    0.7 Nm (6 lbs-in)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T10 bit
  3. Secure the clips (x10), locator pins (x4), and tabs (x3) that attach the RH C-pillar upper trim to the body.

    Note
    After installation, make sure that the seal fully covers the edge of the trim.
  4. Secure the clips (x14), locator pins (x2), and tabs (x2) that attach the RH trunk side trim to the body.

  5. Move the 3rd row seatback back to its original position.
  6. Install the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
