Trim - Cushion - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the armrest assembly from the LH 2nd row seat. See Armrest Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the toe kick cover from the LH 2nd row seat. See Toe Kick Cover - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the outboard retaining clips (x3) from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.

    Note
    Pull the clip away the frame to release it.
  5. Remove the inboard retaining clips (x3) from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.
  6. Remove the front retaining clips (x4) from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.

  7. Remove the seat cushion retaining clips (x4) from the LH 2nd row seat suspension.
  8. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat occupancy sensor connector and set the sensor harness pigtail aside.
  9. Depress the clip to release the seat occupancy sensor from the seat frame, then remove it from the bottom of the LH 2nd row seat.
  10. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat cushion heater connector.
  11. Remove the seat heat pad connector and wiring harness clip from the bottom of the LH 2nd row seat by releasing the harness clamp and the seat frame clip.
  12. Release the cushion trim from the LH 2nd row seat frame assembly.
  13. Lift the cushion straight off and release the location pins (x2) to remove the cushion pad assembly from the LH 2nd row seat assembly.

    Note
    Ensure the heating pad and seat occupation sensor harnesses are clear of the seat frame.
  14. Release the strap that secures the seat cushion trim to the foam assembly.
  15. Release the Velcro strips (x4), remove and discard the hog rings (x8), then remove the LH 2nd row seat cushion trim from the foam assembly.

    Note
    Handle the Velcro strips with caution to prevent damage during the operation.

Install

  1. Start by installing the two trim parts at the back, secure with the Velcro strips (x4) and new hog rings (x8), then install the LH 2nd row cushion trim to the foam assembly.
  2. Strap the LH 2nd row seat cushion trim to the foam assembly by securing the lock sheet.
  3. Align the location pins (x2), insert the rear of the cushion into the seat bottom frame, then lower the rest onto the frame to install the cushion pad assembly to the seat cushion frame.

    Note
    Ensure the wiring harnesses are routed through the back of the frame and the locations pins are installed in place.
  4. Install the cushion trim to the LH 2nd row seat frame assembly.

    Note
    Take care to avoid damaging the foam pad during the installation process.
  5. Install the front retaining clips (x4) to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.

    Note
    Fold the clip towards the frame, pull the clip strip slightly outward to engage the open end with the frame, align one end of the clip with the frame, and press down until fully seated.
  6. Install the seat heat pad connector and wiring harness clip to the bottom of the LH 2nd row seat by sliding the connector onto the seat frame clip and securing the harness clamp.
  7. Connect the LH 2nd row seat cushion heater connector.
  8. Install the seat cushion retaining clips (x4) to the LH 2nd row seat suspension.
  9. Install the inboard retaining clips (x3) to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.
  10. Install the outboard retaining clips (x3) from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame.

    Note
    Fold the clip towards the frame, pull the clip strip slightly outward to engage the open end with the frame, align one end of the clip with the frame, and press down until fully seated.
  11. Install the clip that secures the seat occupancy sensor to the LH 2nd row seat frame.
  12. Connect the LH 2nd row seat occupancy sensor connector.
  13. Install the armrest assembly to the LH 2nd row seat. See Armrest Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  14. Install the toe kick cover to the LH 2nd row seat. See Toe Kick Cover - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the LH 2nd row seat assembly to the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
