Warning
Seat base edges are
sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat
from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat
base.

Remove
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- Remove the driver seat back panel. See Shell - Seat Back - Driver Seat (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).

Unhook the upper flaps that cover the
LH and RH lower corners of the seat back frame.
NotePull the flaps out of the metal retaining tabs to release them.

Release the driver seat back trim retainers (x4) from the driver seat back
frame.

Pull the seat upholstery away from the
inboard airbag to gain access to the electrical connector and then press both white tabs
down to release and disconnect the driver seat inboard airbag electrical
connector.

Pull the seat upholstery away from the outboard airbag to gain access to the
electrical connector and then press both white tabs down to release and disconnect the
driver seat outboard airbag electrical connector.

Disconnect the electrical connector
from the driver seat back blower.

Disconnect the electrical harness from
the recliner motor connector.

Disconnect the electrical harness from
the lumbar valve pack and ECU.

Disconnect the electrical harness from
the lumbar pump connector.
-
Partially release the clips (x6) and
tab that attach the electrical harness to the seat frame.

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
lumbar pump to seat frame.
NoteSqueeze the three lobes of the retaining clips and push towards the pump to release.

Remove the bolt that attaches the
power lumbar to the seat back frame.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the driver seat lumbar support from the driver seat back frame.
Install

Slide the lumbar assembly posts into
the top of the seat back frame and push the assembly in toward the foam. Then slide the
assembly down towards the bottom of the seat frame and clip the bottom of the assembly
to the seat frame.

Install the bolt that attaches the
power lumbar to the seat back frame.
5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm socket

Install the clips (x2) that attach the
lumbar pump to seat frame.

Install the clips (x6) and tab that
attach the electrical harness to the seat frame.

Connect the electrical harness to the
lumbar valve pack and ECU.
-
Connect the electrical harness to the
recliner motor connector.
-
Connect the electrical harness to the
lumbar pump connector.
-
Connect the electrical connector to
the driver seat back blower.
-
Connect the electrical connector to the driver seat outboard air bag electrical
connector.
-
Connect the electrical connector to the driver seat inboard air bag electrical
connector.
-
Engage the driver seat back trim retainers (x4) to the driver seat back frame.

Hook the upper flaps that cover the LH
and RH lower corners of the seat back frame.
- Install the driver seat back panel. See Shell - Seat Back - Driver Seat (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
