Shaft - Recliner - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Install

  1. Guide the 2nd row seat recliner shaft into the hole of the seat assembly, and then slide the shaft into the seat assembly.

    Slightly turn the hole to align the shaft, if needed.

    Make sure that the shaft is properly installed.

    Make sure that both protruded lengths of the shaft are as much the same as possible.
  2. With an assistant holding still the inboard side of the recliner shaft, use a 12mm socket and a rubber hammer to tap a new push nut (1948907-00-A) onto the outboard side the recliner shaft.

    Note
    The distance between the recliner shaft and the outboard side of the seat frame should be approximately 5.9mm.
  3. With an assistant holding still the outboard side of the recliner shaft, use a 12mm socket and a rubber hammer to tap a new push nut (1948907-00-A) onto the inboard side the recliner shaft.

    The distance between the recliner shaft and the inboard side of the seat frame should be approximately 5.9mm.
  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat side shield assembly. See Side Shield Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH 2nd row seat back panel. See Panel - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
