Armrest Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install)

  • 2026-04-09: Updated the steps from removing the side shield assembly to partially releasing the inboard side of the assembly.

Remove

  1. Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Move the LH 1st row seat and LH 2nd row seat forward.

    Note
    Adjust the seat back if necessary to prevent contact with the headliner and other parts.
  3. Adjust the LH 2nd row seat armrest to its highest position.
  4. Release all clips (x21) that attach the inboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat by loosening the front and rear outer clips at the backrest first, then gently pulling the assembly outward to remove.

    Proceed carefully to avoid damage.
  5. Disconnect the LH 2nd row armrest switch connector.
  6. Remove the bolts (x4), disconnect the armrest connector, releasing the location pins (x2), then lift the armrest assembly upward to remove it from the LH 2nd row seat.

    • SKT 3/8" DR, SHALLOW, 11MM

Install

  1. Position the armrest assembly onto the LH 2nd row seat by lowering it downward into place, align the location pins (x2), connect the armrest connector, then secure the bolts (x4) to install it.
    20 Nm (14.7 lbs-ft)

    • SKT 3/8" DR, SHALLOW, 11MM
  2. Connect the LH 2nd row armrest switch connector.
  3. Secure the clips (x21) that attach the inboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat.

    Note
    Make sure that all clips are fully seated on the LH 2nd row seat.
  4. Adjust the LH 2nd row seat armrest to its original position.
  5. Move the LH 2nd row seat and LH 1st row seat to their original positions.
  6. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
