Remove
-
Place the vehicle on the 2-post
lift.
TIpEnsure the vehicle is not charging.
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.

Enter the DPB Assembly Mode.
- Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- Tap the Service Mode "wrench" at the bottom of the touchscreen UI, and then tap , select Set in the dropping list, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the grommet that attaches the
RH rear coil damper harness to the brake hose bracket.
- Position an oil drain under the RH rear brake hose area.

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
rear brake hose to the RH rear brake caliper.
NoteDiscard the bolt and the copper washers together with the brake hose assembly.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Remove the nut that attaches the RH
rear brake line to the RH rear brake hose.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flare Nut Wrench 6pt 12mm

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
rear EPB harness to the RH rear brake hose bracket.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
rear brake hose to the vehicle, and then remove and discard the RH rear brake hose
assembly.

- 10 mm deep socket
Install

Install the bolt that attaches the RH
rear brake hose to the vehicle.
15 Nm (11.1 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm deep socket

Insert the location tab to the hole on
the bracket, and then install the bolt that attaches the RH rear EPB harness to the RH
rear brake hose bracket.
6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm deep socket

Install the nut that attaches the RH
rear brake line to the RH rear brake hose.
16 Nm (11.8 lbs-ft)NoteStart the nut by hand to avoid cross threading.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Flare Nut Wrench 6pt 12mm

Install the bolt that attaches the RH
rear brake hose to the RH rear brake caliper.

- Remove the oil drain under the RH rear brake hose area.

Install the grommet that attaches the
RH rear coil damper harness to the brake hose bracket.
- Lower the vehicle to a comfortable working height and set the lift onto locks.
- Fill the brake bleeder reservoir to full level.
- Place absorbent material underneath the brake fluid reservoir.
- Clean the area around the brake fluid reservoir breather cap and remove the cap.
- Add clean brake fluid to the MAX level in the reservoir.
- Install the pressure bleeder adapter onto the vehicle brake reservoir.
- Connect power supply to the bleeder tool, and then turn the bleeder tool on.
- Set the brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 PSI, and then attach the brake bleed reservoir to the brake bleed adapter.
- Remove the RH rear caliper bleed valve cover, and then install the fluid catcher.
- Open the bleed valve (11mm) and watch the fluid as it flows out of the caliper.
- On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap , click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Close the bleed valve when the pump stops, or when clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
- Repeat the bleed process until the RH rear caliper fluid is free of air bubbles.

Remove the fluid catcher, and then
torque the RH rear caliper bleed valve and install the valve cap.
10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 11 mm socket
- Turn off and remove the pressure brake bleeder kit from the vehicle.
- Check the brake fluid level and top off as necessary.
- Install the service brake reservoir cap.
- Remove the absorbent material from underneath brake fluid reservoir
- Press the brake pedal several times to verify proper feel and action.
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Connect and Disconnect).
- Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): TEST-SELF_DPB_TMC-BRAKE-PEDAL-PRESSvia Service Mode Plus:chassis ➜ DPB Post Replacement ➜ Master Cylinder Stiffness Testvia Toolbox:(link)

Perform the following
routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes):
TEST-SELF_BRAKE_X_DPB-ESP-CORNER-STIFFNESS-TESTvia Service Mode Plus:
- chassis ➜ DPB Post Replacement ➜ Corner Stiffness Test
- chassis ➜ ESP Post Replacement ➜ Corner Stiffness Test
- Disconnect the laptop.
- On the touchscreen, press and hold the Exit Service Mode button to exit Service Mode Plus.
- Install the RH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
- Perform a road test using a series of panic stops to make sure there is proper pedal feel and brake performance.
