Side Shield Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Move the LH front seat and 2nd row seat forward.

    Adjust the seat back if needed.
  3. Raise the LH 2nd row seat armrest to its highest position.
  4. Release all clips (x17) that attach the outboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat by loosening the front and rear outer clips at the backrest first, then gently pulling the assembly outward to remove.

    Proceed carefully to avoid damage.
  5. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat switch connector.
  6. Release all clips (x21) that attach the inboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat by loosening the front and rear outer clips at the backrest first, then gently pulling the assembly outward to remove.

    Proceed carefully to avoid damage.
  7. Disconnect the LH 2nd row armrest switch connector.
  8. Release the hooks (x2) that attach the front side shield to the LH 2nd row seat, and then remove the side shield assembly.

    Take care not to damage the appearance of the seat during removal.

Install

  1. Secure the hooks (x2) that attach the front side shield to the LH 2nd row seat.

    Make sure that the hooks are fully seated on the LH 2nd row seat.
  2. Connect the LH 2nd row armrest switch connector.
  3. Secure the clips (x21) that attach the inboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat.

    Make sure that all clips are fully seated on the LH 2nd row seat.
  4. Return the LH 2nd row seat armrest to its original position.
  5. Connect the LH 2nd row seat switch connector.
  6. Secure the clips (x17) that attach the outboard side shield to the LH 2nd row seat.

    Make sure that all clips are fully seated on the LH 2nd row seat.
  7. Move the LH front seat and 2nd row seat back to their original positions.
  8. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
