Remove
- Open the liftgate.

Remove and discard the bolt that
attaches the liftgate wedge damper base to the body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket

Pry the liftgate wedge damper base away from the body to release the clips (x2), and
then remove the liftgate wedge damper base from the body.
Install
Note
Make sure the foam pad of the wedge
damper base to install has no damage. Replace the base if damaged.

Press the liftgate wedge damper base
onto the body and secure the clips (x2).

Hand-tighten a new bolt (2032907-00-A) that attaches the liftgate wedge damper base
to the body.
- Close the liftgate.

Verify the body-side outer surface is flush with the liftgate upper surface.
NoteAdjust the wedge damper base as needed according to Toolbox article #8199800. Keep the liftgate assembly within CVIS specification.
- Open the liftgate.

Torque the bolt that attaches the liftgate wedge damper base to the body.
6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Torx T30 socket
- Close the liftgate.
