Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the toe kick cover from the LH 2nd row seat. See Toe Kick Cover - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH 2nd row seat back panel from the LH 2nd row seat. See Panel - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back tilt sensor connector.
  5. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back heat pad connector.
  6. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat recline motor connector.
  7. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back blower connector.
  8. Remove the seat harness from the LH 2nd row seat back rest assembly by detaching the secure clips (x2) and hooks (x4).
  9. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the headrest frame assembly to the LH 2nd row seat back rest assembly.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  10. Remove the clips (x2) that attach the seat back rest frame to the LH 2nd row seat.
  11. Release the hooks (x4) that attach the seat back foam assembly to the LH 2nd row seat back rest frame, and then remove the seat back foam assembly.

    Take care to avoid damaging the seat trim.
  12. Remove and discard both the LH 2nd row seat belt buckle and the bolt that attaches the buckle to the cushion frame assembly.

    • Torx T50 socket
  13. Release the clip and disconnect the LH 2nd row seat buckle connector.
  14. Remove the push clip securing the inboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  15. Release the clip that attaches the inboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly, then remove the inboard side shield carrier.

    Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to decorative pieces.
  16. Remove the push clip that attaches the outboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  17. Remove the harness clamp from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  18. Lift the outboard side shield carrier slightly outward, then remove and discard the outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat back frame to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.

  19. Remove and discard the inboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat back frame to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.

  20. Rotate the seat back frame away from the seat cushion frame, then lift the seat back frame straight up to remove the frame from the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.

Install

  1. Install the seat back frame to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.

    The seat back frame can rest on the seat cushion frame without fasteners.
  2. Lift the outboard side shield carrier slightly outward, then install new outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat back frame to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
    43 Nm (31.7 lbs-ft)

  3. Install new inboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat back frame to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
    43 Nm (31.7 lbs-ft)

  4. Install the harness clamp to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  5. Install the push clip that attaches the outboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  6. Secure the clip and install the inboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.

  7. Install the push clip securing the inboard side shield carrier to the LH 2nd row seat cushion frame assembly.
  8. Install new LH 2nd row seat belt buckle (3880753-C1-D) to the cushion frame assembly with the included new bolt.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)

  9. Connect the LH 2nd row seat buckle connector and secure the clip.
  10. Secure the hooks (x4) that attach the seat back foam assembly to the LH 2nd row seat back rest frame.

  11. Install the clips (x2) that attach the seat back rest frame to the LH 2nd row seat.
  12. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the headrest frame assembly to the LH 2nd row seat back rest assembly.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  13. Secure the clips (x2) and hooks (x4) to install the seat harness to the LH 2nd row seat back rest assembly.
  14. Connect the LH 2nd row seat recline motor connector.
  15. Connect the LH 2nd row seat back heat pad connector.
  16. Connect the LH 2nd row seat back tilt sensor connector.
  17. Connect the LH 2nd row seat back blower connector.
  18. Remove the LH 2nd row seat back panel from the LH 2nd row seat. See Panel - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove the toe kick cover from the LH 2nd row seat. See Toe Kick Cover - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  20. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
