Controller - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  2. Rotate the seat to access the underside.

    Ensure the seat cushion is protected from damage.
  3. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat module connectors (x4) and release the clips (x2).
  4. Remove the seat ECU mounting bezel and seat module assembly from the LH 2nd row seat by releasing the clip. After disassembling the module, remove it in the direction of the arrow.
  5. Release the clip and tabs (x2) that attach the 2nd row LH seat controller to the ECU mounting bezel.

Replace

  1. Secure the clip and tabs (x2) that attach the 2nd row LH seat controller to the ECU mounting bezel.

    Note
    Ensure that the seat controller is installed in place.
  2. Insert the seat ECU mounting bezel and seat module assembly into the mounting position on the LH 2nd row seat. Align and install the assembly following the direction of the arrow, then confirm that the clip is secured in place.
  3. Connect the LH 2nd row seat module connectors (x4) and secure the clips (x2).
  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat to the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  5. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Connect and Disconnect).
  6. Reinstall the software. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  7. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCSEAT2L_R2-SEAT-CALIBRATIONvia Service Mode:Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Track & Armrest Calibrationvia Toolbox:(link)
  8. Exit Service Mode Plus and disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Service Mode Plus.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
