1. Remove the HV battery from the vehicle. See Høyspenningsbatteri (bakhjulsdrift) (fjerne og montere).
2. Position the oil drain under front brake line junction area

   

3. Release LH front bottom sill pipe from coupling

   1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm, 1x coupling, 13mm, 16 Nm

   

4. Release LH front top sill pipe from coupling

   1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm, 1x coupling, 13mm, 16 Nm

   

5. Release sill pipes from LH front body clip
   Merk

   1x clip

   

6. Place the oil drain pan under the brake line junction box
   Merk

   Lower vehicle if necessary

   

7. Remove the LH rear brake line tube nut from rear brake pipe junction block
   Merk

   1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

   

8. Remove the RH rear brake line tube nut from rear brake pipe junction block
   Merk

   1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm, Inner nut

   

9. Remove black clip from LH rear junction block
   Merk

   1x clip

   

10. Release the brake lines from the LH rear junction block
    Merk

    2x brake lines

    

11. Remove the oil drain from underneath vehicle

    

12. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
13. Remove side sill brake pipes from vehicle

14. Install side sill brake pipes to body

15. Lower vehicle partially and set onto locks

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
16. Place the oil drain pan under the brake line junction box

17. Position brake lines into LH rear brake junction block

18. Install black clip securing brakes lines at LH rear junction block

19. Install the RH rear brake line tube nut to LH brake pipe junction block

21. Position the oil drain under front brake line junction area

    

22. Secure sill pipes to LH front body clip

23. Install LH front top sill pipe to coupling

24. Install LH front bottom sill pipe to coupling

25. Remove the oil drain container from underneath drive unit

    

26. Remove ancillary bay perimeter seal from HV battery pack

    Discard after removal

    

27. Install ancillary bay perimeter seal to HV battery pack

    Install new perimeter seal every time the HV battery is removed and reinstalled

    

28. Install HV battery alignment rods

    2x rods, Located on body at front of vehicle, 2x rods, Located at rear of HV battery near ancillary bay

    1x connector, Make sure the connector lock is 90 degrees from the connector before beginning to secure the connector, Use one hand to support the connector while other latching locking tab. Once installed, verify that the latch is not damaged and fully secured in the latched position

    

    

75. Install nut securing RDU HV cable bracket to HV battery

    1x nut, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

76. Position coolant drain underneath RH rear of HV battery
77. Remove hose plugs and connect coolant outlet hose to rear PT return hose

    1x spring clip, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated, Use shop towel to clean any coolant residue if necessary

    

    

78. Position coolant drain container underneath LH rear of HV battery
79. Remove plugs and connect RDU inverter inlet hose to rear of HV battery

80. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle
81. Position rear battery enclosure skid plate to HV battery for installation

91. Position coolant drain container underneath LH front of HV battery

    

92. Remove plugs then connect HV battery coolant return hose

    1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

93. Position coolant drain container below HV battery manifold hose

    

94. Remove plugs then connect HV battery front manifold coolant hose

    1x spring clip, 2x plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

95. Install HV battery front manifold hose clips to body

    2x clips, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 1x clip

    

96. Position coolant drain container underneath RH front of HV battery
97. Remove plugs then connect PT supply hose

    1x spring clip, 1x hose clip, 2x plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

98. Remove plugs and connect PT return hose

    1x spring clip, 1x hose clip, 2x plugs, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hose is fully seated

    

    

99. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle
100. Connect both AC compressor HV harness connectors on HV battery

     2x locking connectors, 2 stage locking connector, After the connector is seated and there is an audible click, Engage the second lock by pressing towards the connector

     

101. Install front skid plate onto HV battery
     Merk

     2x tabs, Slide tabs onto front of HV battery

     

     

     

102. Install the bolts securing the front skid plate to the HV battery
     Merk

     4x bolts, E10, 13 Nm

     

103. Release LH front wheel liner from bungee strap
     Merk

     Remove strap from vehicle

     

104. Install LH front wheel liner to HV battery and lower wheel well area
     Merk

     3x clips, 1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

     

105. Release RH front wheel liner from bungee strap
     Merk

     Remove strap from vehicle

     

106. Install RH front wheel liner to HV battery and lower wheel well area
     Merk

     3x clips, 1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

     

107. Position the front aero shield to vehicle and install nuts

     2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm

     

108. Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install outer fasteners to front aero shield

109. Lower vehicle partially and set onto locks

     Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
110. Open all four doors

111. Install positive 12V output

     1x nut, 13mm, 9 Nm, Install new nut, Make sure rubber boot is not pinched between cable terminal and pass through

     

112. Install positive 12V output cover to PCS cable

113. Install nut securing DCDC ground strap to HV battery

     1x nut, 13mm, 15 Nm, Install new nut

     

114. Remove logic cap and connect the HVC logic connector

     1x connector, 1x cap, Align connector then pull the handle to locking position get connector fully seated

     

     

115. Clean busbar HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox
     Merk

     Allow 1 minute dry time after removing Penetrox, It is necessary to clean HV connector during re-use of busbar

     

116. Clean HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox

     Allow 1 minute dry time after removing Penetrox, New busbar comes with Penetrox applied to HV connector

     

117. Apply Penetrox onto HV connector joints

     Apply 2 drops of Penetrox A-13 about 5mm in diameter to either side of the hole on both leads, Spread evenly to verify the contact surface is fully covered

     

     

118. Position busbar kit connector and lower onto HV header

     

119. Install bolts securing charge port busbar kit to HV Header

121. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

122. Perform Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from HV busbar lead to bolt head

     2x HV joints, The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ).If the resistance is greater than 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ), there is too much resistance in the High Voltage joint. Remove the fastener, clean areas with isopropyl alcohol, install fastener back and test again.If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again.If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), hioki test passed, proceed to next step

134. Fill container with at least 15L of coolant

     

135. Place filled coolant container into front storage area

     

136. Close air inlet and coolant refill valves

     

     

137. Install vacuum refill cap onto coolant bottle assembly

     

138. Setup vacuum refill tool

     Verify all valves on refill tool are in the closed position, See image for clarity

     

     

139. Install vacuum refill hose into refill cap on coolant bottle

     Perform push-pull-push test to verify hose is fully installed

     

140. Place end of overflow hose into empty container

     

141. Place refill hose inside filled coolant container

     Make sure hose end is fully submerged into coolant

     

     

142. Connect shop air supply to coolant refill tool
     Merk

     If not already done, Verify refill valve is set to off

     

143. Open air inlet valve to draw a vacuum, Once gauge stabilizes, Fully close valve
     Merk

     Gauge stabilizes roughly (60-70 cmHg), Vacuum should not drop after the valves are closed

     

     

144. Slowly open the refill valve to allow coolant to be drawn into the system
     Merk

     Make sure hose end of refill hose is fully submerged during entire process

     

145. Once the gauge reads zero, close the refill valve

     

     

146. Slowly open the coolant refill valve to allow coolant to be drawn into the system

     Make sure end of coolant refill hose is fully submerged during entire process

     

147. Monitor gauge for 30 seconds to verify a vacuum is maintained in the cooling system

     

148. Reopen the air inlet valve for 3 minutes to continue evacuating cooling system, then close valve

     

     

149. Disconnect shop air supply from coolant refill tool

     

150. Remove coolant refill hose from coolant container

     

151. Remove coolant overflow hose from coolant container

     

152. Remove vacuum refill hose from refill cap on coolant bottle

     

153. Remove coolant refill tool from vehicle

     

     

154. Remove both coolant containers from inside underhood area

175. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH front brake caliper bleeding valves and install covers

176. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

177. Open RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve.

179. Close the bleeding valve once the pump stop running

180. Repeat the above step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

181. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque RH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

182. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

187. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

     1x cover, 1x bleeding valve, 11mm, 10 Nm (+/- 3 Nm) Base caliper, 14 Nm (+/- 2 Nm) Plus caliper

     

     

188. Power off brake bleed reservoir and detach brake bleed reservoir from brake bleed adapter

     

     

189. Remove pressure bleeder adapter from reservoir

     

190. Check fluid level

     Top off if necessary

     

191. Install brake reservoir cap

     

192. Pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure the brake pedal feels normal

194. Close all four doors

     If 12V is powered up, Unlatch rear doors before closing
195. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks

     Set vehicle to a comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
196. Install all four wheels
     Merk

     5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
197. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
     Merk

     Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
198. Torque all four wheels
     Merk

     5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
199. Install all four wheel caps
     Merk

     1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity
200. Install rear apron
     Merk

     14x clips, Hold rear wall of frunk to keep from flexing while engaging front clips

     

     

201. Close hood
202. Remove vehicle from lift

     Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
203. Get into driver seat and slowly reverse vehicle enough to allow clearance for all four doors open

     Adjust driver seat if needed
204. Open all four doors

     Latch rear doors to prevent accidental closure
205. Torque LH rear inner HV battery bolt
     Merk

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below LH rear main carpet

     

206. Torque RH rear inner battery bolt
     Merk

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm, Located below RH rear main carpet for access

     

207. Remove object positioned beneath rear cabin carpet

     

208. Install clips securing rear main cabin carpet to vehicle
     Merk

     3x push clips

     

209. Install clip securing RH lower B-pillar to body
     Merk

     1x push clip, Clip goes through B-pillar and rear cabin carpet

     

210. Install RH rear sill trim
     Merk

     5x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Install rear edge of RH rear sill trim into trunk side trim and work your way forward securing clips

     

     

211. Reseat RH rear door seal
     Merk

     Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal

     

212. Install clip securing LH lower B-pillar to body
     Merk

     1x push clip, Clip secures lower B-pillar and rear cabin carpet to body

     

213. Install LH rear sill trim
     Merk

     5x clips, Rear edge is mated with groove in trunk side trim, Install rear edge of LH rear sill trim into trunk side trim and work your way forward securing clips, Trim part may slightly differ, by vehicle build location

     

     

214. Reseat LH rear door seal
     Merk

     Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal

     

215. Install 2nd row seat cushion
     Merk

     1x connector, Slide rear cushion rearward then align foam with seat rail, Make sure cushion is fully seated with push & pull test

     

     

     

216. Torque LH middle inner HV battery bolt
     Merk

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm

     

217. Fold LH side of rear main carpet to its original position

     

218. Torque RH middle inner HV battery bolt
     Merk

     1x bolt, 16mm, 66 Nm

     

219. Fold RH side of rear main carpet to its original position

     

220. Install 2nd row floor mat into vehicle

     

221. Torque both RH forward HV battery bolts
     Merk

     2x bolts, EP20, 136 Nm

     

     

222. Install RH front cabin carpet support access plugs
     Merk

     2x plugs, Newer Vins may be equipped with 1x foam plug

     

     

223. Fold the RH front main cabin carpet back to original position

     

224. Install clip securing RH front cabin carpet to body
     Merk

     1x clip

     

225. Install RH lower A-pillar trim
     Merk

     6x clips, 2x locating pins, Align front locating pin first

     

226. Install clip securing RH lower A-pillar trim
     Merk

     1x clip

     

227. Install RH mid A-pillar assembly
     Merk

     1x clip, 1x tab, Align the bottom tab then push the top clip to fully seat mid A-pillar, Make sure the seal seat on top of the trim

     

228. Install RH IP end cap
     Merk

     3x clips

     

229. Install RH console side panel carpet
     Merk

     12x clips, 2x locating pins, Position side panel and align the front locator, then the rear locator, Push side panel towards console to install

     

     

230. Install RH front floor mat

     

231. Connect the RH footwell assembly connectors
     Merk

     2x connectors

     

232. Install clips securing RH footwell assembly
     Merk

     4x push clips, 2x connectors, Puddle lamp and speaker

     

233. Move RH front seat to original position

     

234. Torque both LH front inner HV battery bolts
     Merk

     2x bolts, EP20, 136 Nm

     

     

235. Install LH front cabin carpet support access plugs
     Merk

     2x plugs, Newer vins may be equipped with 1x foam plug

     

     

236. Fold the LH front main cabin carpet back to original position

     

237. Install clip securing LH front cabin carpet to body

     

238. Install LH console side panel carpet
     Merk

     11x clips, 2x locating pins, Position side panel and align the front into front locator, then the rear locator, Push side panel towards console to install

     

     

     

     

239. Install LH front floor mat

     

240. Install connectors to LH footwell cover and position for installation
     Merk

     3x tabs, 1x Ethernet connector, 1x puddle light connector

     

     

     

241. Install screw and clips securing LH footwell cover
     Merk

     1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm, 2x push clips

     

242. Install LH lower A-pillar trim
     Merk

     6x clips, 2 locating pins, Align front locating pin first

     

243. Install clip securing LH lower A-pillar trim
     Merk

     1x push clip

     

244. Install LH mid A-pillar assembly
     Merk

     1x clip, 1x tab, Align the bottom tab then push the top clip to fully seat mid A-pillar, Pull seal over trim

     

245. Install LH IP end cap
     Merk

     3x clips

     

246. Move LH front seat to original position
247. Raise all four windows
248. Close all four doors
     Merk

     If 12V is powered up, Unlatch rear doors before closing
249. Remove lift pad adapters from RH rocker
     Merk

     2x lift pad adapters

     

     

250. Install butyl patches onto RH rocker access holes
     Merk

     2x butyl patches, Apply pressure along patch to verify fully secured to body, Replace with new patch if needed, Roughly 2" x 2 1/2"

     

     

251. Install RH rocker carrier onto body
     Merk

     10x clips

     

252. Install bolts securing RH rocker carrier to body
     Merk

     2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

     

253. Install RH rocker panel onto RH rocker carrier
     Merk

     11x clips, 11x tabs, Recommend assistance, Tabs go into cavities on the rocker carrier and cannot be accessed from outer side of trim

     

254. Install clips securing RH rocker cover to front and rear wheel liner
     Merk

     4x push clips

     

     

255. Remove lift pad adapters from LH rocker
     Merk

     2x lift pad adapters

     

     

256. Install butyl patches onto LH rocker access holes
     Merk

     2x butyl patches, Apply pressure along patch to verify fully secured to body, Replace with new patch if needed, Roughly 2" x 2 1/2"

     

     

257. Install LH rocker carrier onto body
     Merk

     10x clips

     

258. Install bolts securing LH rocker carrier to body
     Merk

     2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

     

259. Install LH rocker panel onto LH rocker carrier
     Merk

     11x clips, 11x tabs, Recommend assistance, Tabs go into cavities on the rocker carrier and cannot be accessed from outer side of trim

     

260. Install clips securing LH rocker cover to front and rear wheel liner
     Merk

     4x push clips

     

     

261. Perform a road test and ensure proper brake pedal feel and performance
