Procedure

Function check LH front door (exterior)
注Inspect and note functionality for the door handle operation and full range of motion of the door, From outside look for interference with brightwork and door to body, Note noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions

Function check all windows from the master switch
注Document any abnormal operation/noises

Function check LH rear door (exterior)
注Inspect and note functionality for the door handle operation and full range of motion of the door, From outside look for interference with brightwork and door to body, Note noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions

Function check RH rear door (exterior)

Function check the exterior lights
注Recommend assistance, inspect and note functionality of Headlight (LH and RH), Side Repeater (LH and RH), Taillight (LH and RH), CHMSL, Fog Light (LH and RH), Reverse Light (LH and RH), Front Turn Signal (LH and RH), Rear Turn Signal (LH and RH)

Verify operation of windshield wipers and nozzles
注Ensure hood and doors are closed prior to activating wipers, Inspect and note functionality for wipers and wiper jets, Check for full range of motion, speed of motion, interference with other components, noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions

Verify operation of horn
注Press button on steering wheel and verify high and low tones both sound

Perform a road test using a series of ABS-active stops and ensure proper brake pedal feel and performance
注The vehicle must stop completely within 25 feet (7.6 meters) at 20 mph (32 kph), Confirm that no excessive vibration or noise is present

Inspect vehicles alignment
注Confirm steering wheel is straight and no vibrations or noises are felt or heard from the suspension, On a flat road, at 35 mph (56 kph), the vehicle does not pull in either direction

Open hood
注Press "Open" button on touchscreen to release latch, Lift lid manually

Remove rear apron
注12x clips, Only store rear apron visible face upwards

Remove cabin intake upper duct assembly
注3x clips, Some configurations may come with 4x clips
-
Remove closeout panel from frunk assembly
注4x clips, 1x connector, Frunk safety switch, 3x guide tabs, Grab closeout panel from bottom then pull it upward to release clips, Disconnect switch

Remove bolts securing frunk assembly
注7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Remove frunk assembly from vehicle
注12x clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing, Number of clips may vary on older vehicles

Perform inspection of under hood area
注Perform inspection of vehicle under hood area, Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage, Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance

Visually inspect brake fluid level
-
Fill washer reservoir with fluid
-
Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
注Ensure that fluid level is at Max line
-
Raise and support vehicle
注remove charging equipment
-
Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
注Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

Remove outer fasteners securing front aero shield
注9x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Remove front aero shield
注2x nuts, 15mm, 8 Nm
-
Remove rear aero shield
注13x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Remove LH rear suspension cover
注1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x tabs
-
Remove RH rear suspension cover
注1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x tabs
-
Check all four tire pressures manually
注4x tires, Set to specification if necessary, Refer to the "Tire and Loading Information" label located on the driver side B-pillar, Inspect wheels and tires for any bulges or damage while checking/setting pressures

Record tread depth for LH front tire
注Measure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less

Record tread depth for LH rear tire
注Measure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less

Record tread depth for RH rear tire
注Measure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less

Inspect underside of vehicle for fluid leaks

Perform inspection of steering components
注Check steering gear joints, fasteners, and electrical connections, Verify components are not bent or damaged

Perform inspection of front suspension components
注Check conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed

Perform inspection of rear suspension components
注Check conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed

Perform visual inspection of HV battery enclosure
注Check for any dents, scrapes, or other damage

Perform visual inspection of LH front brake pads
注Perform visual inspection, Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads

Measure and record LH front brake pad thickness
注Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads

Inspect LH front brake rotor condition
注Check for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec: See technical data

Install RH rear suspension cover
注1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x tabs
-
Install LH rear suspension cover
注1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x tabs
-
Install rear aero shield
注13x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Apply Loctite 222 to bolts before installing
-
Position front aero shield to vehicle
注2x nuts, 15mm, 8 Nm, Hand-tighten the nuts to temporarily hold the panel in place
-
Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install outer fasteners to front aero shield
注9x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Lower vehicle fully
注Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
-
Remove vehicle from lift
注Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
-
Install frunk assembly to vehicle
注12x clips, Make sure frunk assembly is fully seated onto clips, Number of clips may vary on older vehicles, Ensure A/C compressor HVIL harness is not pinched between frunk assembly and thermal beam, replace any damaged clips

Install bolts securing frunk assembly
注7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Install frunk close out panel
注4x clips, 1x connector, Frunk safety switch, 3x guide tabs, Align 3x tabs then push downward to secure clips

Install cabin intake upper duct assembly
注3x clips, Some configurations may come with 4x clips
-
Install rear apron
注12x clips
-
Close hood
