1. Open LH front door

2. Lower LH front window

   

3. Partially release aft section of front LH fender flare cover

   11x clips, 3x datum, 1x connector total, Release as needed for clearance, Full removal not required

   

4. Remove LH front rocker fastener from step reinforcement
   참고

   1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

   

5. Remove clip securing LH rocker cover to front wheel liner
   참고

   1x clip

   

6. Remove LH rear fore fender flare
   참고

   12 clips, 9x tabs

   

   

   

7. Remove LH rear aft fender flare
   참고

   5x clips

   

   

   

8. Remove LH rear rocker fastener from step reinforcement
   참고

   1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

   

9. Remove clip securing LH rocker cover to rear wheel liner
   참고

   1x clip

   

10. Remove rocker cover fasteners from LH side ski
    참고

    6x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

11. Release LH rocker cover from rocker carrier
    참고

    11x clips, 1x datum, Remove any clips that remained on carrier

    

12. Raise and support vehicle
    참고

    Set air suspension to "Jack Mode"

    

    

13. Open powered front trunk
    참고

    Via exterior switch or UI

    

    

14. Remove rear underhood apron
    참고

    9x clips

    

    

15. Remove LH front wheel cap
    참고

    1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

    

    

    

    

16. Loosen LH front wheel nuts

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

17. Remove LH rear wheel cap
    참고

    1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

    

    

    

    

18. Loosen LH rear wheel nuts

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

19. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
    참고

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

20. Remove LH front wheel

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

21. Remove LH rear wheel

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

22. Release LH front wheel liner from HV battery chinstrap
    참고

    1x push clip, 2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

23. Release LH front wheel liner from fender flare carrier and fascia
    참고

    14x push clips

    

    

24. Release LH front wheel liner push nuts
    참고

    6x push nuts, Replace if damaged

    

25. Remove LH front wheel liner
    참고

    Manipulate as required to clear fender flare and tire, Shown with wheel removed for clarity

    

    

    

    

26. Remove LH rear wheel liner
    참고

    19x push clips, 5x push nuts, Cut push nuts with diagonal cutters, Discard push nuts after removal

    

    

27. Remove LH brake tube assembly
    참고

    12x clips, 2x flare nuts, 14mm, 16 Nm, Catch any fluid that leaks out, Universal Lift Pad Adapters are not required for this procedure

    

    

    

    

28. Install LH brake tube assembly
    참고

    12x clips, 2x flare nuts, 14mm, 16 Nm, Clean off any brake fluid with brake cleaner, Universal Lift Pad Adapters are not required for this procedure

    

    

    

    

29. Install LH rear wheel liner
    참고

    19x push clips, 5x push nuts, Install new push nuts

    

    

30. Install LH front wheel liner
    참고

    Manipulate as required to clear fender flare and tire

    

    

    

    

31. Install LH front wheel liner push nuts
    참고

    6x push nuts, Install new push nuts

    

32. Secure LH front wheel liner to fender flare carrier and fascia
    참고

    14x push clips

    

    

    

33. Secure LH front wheel liner to HV battery chinstrap
    참고

    1x push clip, 2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

34. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap

    

35. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary
    참고

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid

    

36. Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level
    참고

    Use only DOT 4 brake fluid

    

37. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir
    참고

    Attach the brake reservoir hose to the brake adapter at this time

    

    

38. Set pressure to 30psi
    참고

    Connect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power to set pressure to 30 psi

    

39. Manually bleed LH rear brake caliper by opening LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve
    참고

    1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, Push pedal to floor, Repeat step till clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

    

    

40. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0
    참고

    Vehicle OBD II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)

    

    

    

41. Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"bleed"

    

42. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

43. Open the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEEDvia Service Mode:Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Bleed FR-RLvia Service Mode Plus:
    • chassis ➜ ESP Post Replacement ➜ Bleed FR/RL Calipers
    • chassis ➜ ESP Replacement Panel ➜ Bleed FR/RL Calipers
    • chassis ➜ IBST Replacement Panel ➜ Bleed FR/RL Calipers
    via Toolbox:(link) and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running

44. Repeat the above step until clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

45. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

46. Turn off and remove pressure brake bleeder kit from vehicle

    

    

47. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid

    

48. Install brake reservoir cap

    

49. Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure pedal feels normal

    

50. Run the TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-SERVICEvia Service Mode:Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Stiffness Testvia Service Mode Plus:chassis ➜ ESP Replacement Panel ➜ Stiffness Testvia Toolbox:(link) routine.
51. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop

    

    

    

52. Install rear underhood apron

    9x clips, Adjust windshield seal as required

    

    

53. Close powered front trunk

    Via exterior switch or UI

    

54. Install LH rear wheel
    참고

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

55. Install LH front wheel
    참고

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

56. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    참고

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

57. Torque LH rear wheel nuts
    참고

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

58. Install LH rear wheel cap
    참고

    1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

    

    

    

59. Torque LH front wheel nuts
    참고

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm

    

60. Install LH front wheel cap
    참고

    1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

    

    

    

61. Remove vehicle from lift
    참고

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"

    

    

62. Install LH rocker cover to rocker carrier
    참고

    11x clips, 1x datum, Replace any missing or damaged clips

    

63. Install rocker cover fasteners to LH side ski
    참고

    6x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

64. Install clip securing LH rocker cover to rear wheel liner
    참고

    1x clip

    

65. Install LH rear rocker fastener to step reinforcement
    참고

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

66. Install LH rear aft fender flare
    참고

    5x clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips

    

    

    

    

67. Install LH rear fore fender flare
    참고

    12 clips, 9x tabs, Replace any damaged or missing clips

    

    

    

68. Install LH front rocker fastener to step reinforcement
    참고

    1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm

    

69. Secure aft section of front LH fender flare cover
    참고

    11x clips, 3x datum, 1x connector total, Replace any missing or damaged clips

    

70. Raise LH front window

    

71. Close LH front door

    

72. Perform test drive
    참고

    Perform a validation test drive after repair. Drive a minimum speed of 25mph, Drive in a straight line and check for excessive pull, Verify the steering wheel is centered when vehicle is driving straight, Determine whether an alignment is recommended. Add correction code 00040100 as needed
