Raise and support the vehicle.
- Open both front doors and lower both front windows.
-
Open the hood.
-
Remove the rear apron.
-
Remove HEPA filter assembly
注2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, Then lift up to clear frunk assembly, Note: Not all Model Y vehicles have a HEPA filter assembly installed
-
Remove frunk access panel
注3x clips, 3x guide tabs, 1x connector
-
Remove fasteners securing frunk assembly
注(*Use this ALL MODELS version of the step for multiple-model type procedures) 5x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 4x bolts and 1x push clip securing frunk to reservoir neck

Remove clip securing frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
注1x push clip
-
Remove frunk assembly from vehicle
注4x clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing
- Remove the cowl screen. See 面板 - 前围篦板（拆卸和更换）.

Remove RH mid A pillar assembly
注1x clip, 1x tab, Release the upper clip then pull mid A pillar upward to remove
-
Remove clip securing RH lower A pillar trim
注1x push clip
-
Remove RH lower A pillar trim to release seat harness.
注6x clips, 2 guide tabs, Pull rear of lower A pillar upward to release clip then pull rearward to release trim panel
- Move the RH front seat back.

Remove RH front floor mat
-
Release RH footwell assembly from IP
注1x screw, T20, 1.2 Nm, 1x push clip, 8x tabs, carefully pull out to release tabs
-
Disconnect RH footwell lighting and speaker connectors
注2x connectors

Remove RH console side panel carpet
注11x clips, 1x guide pin, Use trim tool starting at top edge to release upper clips, Pull bottom to release remaining clips, Use caution and pull panel straight away from console, if panel is peeled off it could be damaged

Remove clip securing RH front cabin carpet to body
注1x clip
-
Fold RH front cabin carpet rearward
注Newer Vins may be equipped with additional foam installed below carpet
-
Remove LH front wheel cap
注1x cap, Use both hands to gently pull the wheel cap to release the clips, Wheels may be equipped with center caps
-
Loosen the lug nuts (x5) on the LH front wheel.
-
Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
注Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, Otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
-
Remove the LH front wheel.
-
Release LH front wheel liner from vehicle and set aside
注8x clips, 3x tabs, 1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm
-
Disconnect LH side repeater and camera
注2x connectors, Disengage lock on camera connector
-
Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks
注Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
-
Remove fresh air intake duct
注1x bolt, 10mm bolt, 4 Nm, 1x datum, 2x ears, Set ears on bulkhead studs, Secure to thermal bar
-
Release windshield heater connecter
注1x connector
-
Release RH grommet from body
-
Remove electrical tape securing harness bundle to rubber dust boot
注Use a razor blaze, carefully cut electrical tape away to expose rubber dust boot
-
Remove locking pin from connector
注Carefully pry pin out of connector and fully remove locking pin
-
Remove coax cable needed for the side repeater overlay MY terminal 1 (LHS)
注Inspect all components for damage
-
Apply harness tape onto LH coax overlay cable before installation
注Use Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is in the vehicle
-
Position MY LH coax overlay cable into place, Place through LH wheel liner
注Pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
-
Pull LH coax overlay cable through frunk harness
注Pull harness towards car computer and grommet, Route under steering electric steering column
-
Tape coax overlay onto fish nylon tape
-
Pull LH coax overlay cable through bulkhead and into interior cabin
-
Remove nylon fish tape
注Remove tape the pull nylon fish tape out of vehicle
-
Release side repeater cameras connector X870 from car computer
注1x connector, Release red tab before removing connector
-
Remove locking pin from side repeater cameras connector
注Carefully pry pin out of connector and fully remove locking pin
-
Remove MY coax terminal 1 (LHS) cable from connector
注Inspect all components for damage
-
Insert new side repeater coax terminal 1 (LHS) cable onto side repeater cameras connector
注Ensure both coax cables are fully seated into connector, Audible locking and flush mounting to confirm
-
Secure locking pin to connector
注Align tabs of lock in connector housing, Ensure flush installation of locking pin to connector housing
-
Install side repeater cameras connector x870 onto car computer
注1x connector
-
Position MY LH coax overlay cable onto frunk main harness, Secure cable onto harness using zip ties
注11x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured
-
Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax terminal and tape to vehicle harness
注Cut the coax connector only
-
Connect electrical harness to LH side repeater
注2x connectors, Ensure lock on camera connection is secure
-
Secure RH grommet from body
注Use electrical tape to wrap the end of the dust boot
-
Secure LH front wheel liner onto vehicle
注8x clips, 3x tabs, 1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Route liner under garnish clips, Align studs then install clips
-
Install LH front wheel
注5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
-
Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
注Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
-
Torque LH front wheel
注5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
-
Install LH front wheel cap
注1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity
- Install the cowl screen. See 面板 - 前围篦板（拆卸和更换）.

Install fresh air intake duct
注1x bolt, 10mm bolt, 4 Nm, 2x clips, 1x pin, Set clips on bulkhead studs, Secure to thermal bar
-
Install HEPA filter assembly
注2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Note: Not all Model Y vehicles have a HEPA filter assembly installed

Install frunk assembly to vehicle
注4x clips, 3x locator pins, Replace any clips if broken or missing
-
Secure frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck
注1x push clip
-
Install fasteners securing frunk assembly
注5x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 1x push clip securing frunk to washer bottle neck
-
Install frunk access panel
注3x clips, 1x connector
-
Install the rear apron.
-
Close the hood.
-
Fold RH main carpet back in place
-
Install clip securing RH front cabin carpet to body
注1x push clip
-
Install RH console side panel carpet
注11x clips, 1x guide pin, Position side panel and align the locator, then the rear locator, Push side panel towards console to install
-
Install RH footwell assembly
注2x connectors
-
Secure RH footwell assembly onto IP
注1x screw, T20, 1.2 Nm, 1x push clip, 8x tabs, carefully align tabs and push to secure in place
-
Install RH lower A pillar trim
注6x clips, 2x locating pins, Align front locating pin first
-
Install clip securing RH lower A pillar trim
注1x push clip
-
Install RH mid A pillar assembly
注1x clip, 1x tab, Align the bottom tab then push the top clip to fully seat mid A pillar, Make sure the seal seat on top of the trim
-
Move RH front seat to original position
-
Install RH front floor mat
-
Clear DAS Calibration through UI
注Controls > Service > Camera Calibration, Select Clear Calibration, Verify calibration was cleared successfully, Wait for prompt to disappear automatically before continuing, Calibration in Progress message and progress icon will appear during the next drive cycle

Verify operation of windshield washers and wipers
注Fully press and hold the button on the end of the left-hand steering column lever to spray washer fluid onto the windshield, While spraying the windshield the wipers turn on, After releasing the button the wipers perform two additional wipes then a third wipe a few seconds later
- Raise both front windows and close both front doors.
