Parcel Shelf Front Extension

Repair Information

Review all collision repair general practices and safety documentation and wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) before beginning this procedure.
This procedure can be completed without using a frame bench.

Repair Procedure

Remove the Rear Quarter Inner (Panel).
Remove the Parcel Shelf Rear Extension.
Remove the original component.

Note
In the following images, the Cantrail Assembly has been removed to enhance clarity. There is no need to remove the Cantrail Assembly when performing this procedure.

Factory Spot Weld

or Drill through factory spot welds
Note
When drilling out spot welds, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.
Prepare for installation.

Structural Bulb Rivet, 6.5 mm

Countersunk Rivet, 4.8 mm Short

Bolt, Torx-head and Nut

Flow Form Rivet S18
Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
Install the new component or components.

Bolt, Torx-head torque to 16 Nm.
Install the Rear Quarter Inner (Panel).
Install the Parcel Shelf Rear Extension.
Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
