Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the Carpet - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Carpet - Front - RH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the original component.

    Note
    When drilling out spot welds in the areas highlighted in red, use an 8 mm drill bit. When drilling out spot welds outside the areas highlighted in red, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.
  6. Prepare for installation.

  7. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  8. Install the new component or components.
  9. Install the butyl foil patch as indicated to cover the installed fasteners.
  10. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
  11. Install the Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the Carpet - Front - RH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the Carpet - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
