Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the Headlight - Pair - (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the Carrier - Front End (Heat Pump) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the Fan- Radiator (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the Cooling System (Drain and Refill).
  7. Remove the Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).
  9. Remove the Condenser (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the Subframe Assembly - Front (Dual Motor) (Remove and Install).
  12. Remove the original component.
    Factory Spot Weld
  13. Prepare for installation.
  14. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  15. Install the new component or components.
  16. Plug weld the steel areas.

    Do not weld on a Tesla vehicle before performing the Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure (refer to the vehicle-specific Service Manual for more information on the Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure). Welding on a Tesla vehicle with an energized high or low voltage system might damage vehicle components.
  17. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
  18. Install the Subframe Assembly - Front (Dual Motor) (Remove and Install).
  19. Install the Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the Condenser (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).
  22. Install the Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).
  23. Install the Cooling System (Drain and Refill).
  24. Install the Fan- Radiator (Remove and Replace).
  25. Install the Carrier - Front End (Heat Pump) (Remove and Replace).
  26. Install the Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  27. Install the Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  28. Install the Headlight - Pair - (Remove and Replace).
