Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the A-Pillar Reinforcement Assembly.
  2. Remove the Hinge Pillar Reinforcement.
  3. Remove the A-Pillar Upper Outer Lower Bracket.
  4. Remove the original component.

    or Bolts, hex-head

  5. Prepare for installation.

  6. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  7. Position the new component and temporarily install the bolts as shown to secure the component in position while the structural adhesive cures.

    Note
    Remove the bolts after the structural adhesive has cured.
  8. Install the new component or components.
    Torque the bolt to 10 Nm.
  9. Install the Hinge Pillar Reinforcement.
  10. Install the A-Pillar Reinforcement Assembly.
  11. Install the A-Pillar Upper Outer Lower Bracket.
  12. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
