Huck Fasteners and Installation Tools Not Needed

Describes fasteners that have alternatives which can be used in Body Repair repair procedures.

Huck fasteners (BOMs, pin and collars) and 8 mm (5/16 inch) blind rivets are no longer necessary in any Tesla structural repair procedures (refer to the table below for a list of the specific fasteners). Procedures that previously specified to use these fasteners now contain alternative fastener options. Refer to the information in Huck Fasteners Used in Collision Repair Procedures for information on the procedures that previously used Huck fasteners and 5/16 inch blind rivets, as well as the approved fastener alternatives in those procedures.

Because there are now alternative fastener options, the installtion tools for Huck fasteners (BOMs, pin and collars) and 8 mm (5/16 inch) blind rivets are no longer necessary if alternative fasteners are used.
