Seal - Header - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front and rear doors and lower the LH front and rear windows.
  2. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Partially release the LH front primary body seal from the vehicle to gain access to the header seal.
    Note
    Start from the upper corner closest to the B-pillar applique, and then pull straight down along the length of the seal to fully release the seal from the upper brightwork.
  4. Partially release the LH rear primary body seal from the vehicle to gain access to the header seal.

    Start from the upper corner closest to the B-pillar applique, and then pull straight down along the length of the seal to fully release the seal from the upper brightwork.
  5. Remove the LH B-pillar applique. See
  6. Release the clip that attaches the LH header seal to the LH upper bright trim cap, and then pull down to release the remaining portion of the seal.
    Note
    Start from the middle A-pillar and work rearward.

Install

  1. Position the LH header seal onto the vehicle, and then fasten clip that attaches the seal to the LH A-pillar.
  2. Install the remaining portion of the LH header seal.
    Note
    Start from the middle A-pillar and work rearward.
  3. Install the LH B-pillar applique. See
  4. Starting from the upper rear corner, install the LH rear primary body seal to the vehicle.
    Note
    The seal edge should not be visible.
    Note
    Make sure the seal fully engages the brightwork.
    Note
    Make sure that the primary seal is installed behind the header seal.
  5. Starting from the upper rear corner, install the LH front primary body seal onto the LH upper brightwork.
    Note
    The seal edge should not be visible.

  6. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  7. Close the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
