Seam Sealer Locations
Shows locations where seam sealer was applied when the vehicle was built, and where seam sealer should be applied when repairing the vehicle.
In the following images, two colors are used to indicate seam sealer:
![]() | Seam sealer applied when the vehicle was built (applied at the factory). |
![]() | Seam sealer that must be applied in the
repair area as a part of the repair procedure. Note Before applying seam sealer, refer
to the Applying Seam Sealer section of Post-Repair Operations. Note When applying seam sealer in any area between the HV battery pack
and the floor, do not apply a layer of seam sealer more than 2 mm thick. Make sure
that the seam sealer does not put pressure on either the top of the HV battery
pack or on any floor panel. Note Do not apply seam sealer in a way
that will cause issues with the operation of a closure component (door, hood,
trunk, or liftgate) or with the fitment of any other component that may be
attached in the repair area (headlight, tail light, roof glass). Refer to Approved Chemicals for the list of approved seam sealer products. |
Note
The seam sealer paths shown are for reference to indicate the locations where
seam sealer should be applied, and do not depict actual seam sealer.
