The Quarter Outer Skin (shown below) is a single component, and can be replaced as a single repair:

Alternatively, instead of replacing the complete Quarter Outer Skin, a section of the Quarter Outer Skin can be replaced using a portion of a new Quarter Outer Skin component using the cut line described in this document.

Repair Procedure

  1. Separate the rear wheel arch flange.

    If repairing only a section of the Quarter Outer Skin, separate only the necessary portion of the hemmed flange.
  2. Remove the original component.

  3. Prepare for installation.

  4. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  5. Install the new component or components.
  6. Perform GMA welding.
