Repair Information

This procedure can be completed without using a frame bench.

Repair Procedure

Remove the original component.

or Factory Spot Welds
Note
If present, remove the spot weld circled in red (this spot weld is not present on all vehicles).
Prepare for installation.

Note
A red X indicates a location where a factory-installed fastener is not being replaced.

Note
If a spot weld was present in the area circled in red, the spot weld is not to be replaced with a fastener (structural adhesive is sufficient in this location).

or Flow Form Rivets, S08
Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
Install the new component or components.
Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
