Riser Assembly - Instrument Panel - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the center console. See Center Console (Model Y L) (Remove and Install).
    Note
    During removal, certain steps require extra care. See the animation(s) for detailed guidance.
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) and the nut that attach the LH IP (instrument panel) riser bracket to the vehicle.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • 10 mm deep socket
  3. Remove the LH IP riser bracket.
    Note
    Gently move the left side of the air distribution box backward, and then lift the riser bracket upward to remove it.

Install

  1. Install the LH IP riser bracket.
    Note
    Gently move the left side of the air distribution box backward, and then insert the riser bracket downward.
  2. Install the bolts (x2) and the nut that attach the LH IP (instrument panel) riser bracket to the vehicle.
    Note
    The 13 mm bolt and nut are 25 Nm, the 10 mm bolt is 6 Nm.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • 10 mm deep socket
  3. Install the center console. See Center Console (Model Y L) (Remove and Install).
