Frame Mechanism - Headrest - Driver Seat (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat back shell. See Shell - Seat Back - Driver Seat (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
    Note
    During removal, certain steps require extra care. See the animation(s) for detailed guidance.
  2. Release the driver seat back cover retainers (x7) from the driver seat back frame.
  3. Adjust the driver seat back rearward.
    Note
    This is to aid removal of the headrest frame mechanism.
  4. Pull the seat upholstery away from the seat back frame to remove the headrest frame mechanism assembly.
    Note
    Do not use excessive force during removal.

Install

  1. Align the headrest frame pillar with the seat back pillar base, and then press down the headrest frame mechnanism, and then install the seat upholstery back to the seat back frame.
    Note
    Do not fully install the headrest frame pillars to the pillar bases at this time. The pillars will be fully install during the installation of the driver seat back shell.
  2. Move the driver seat back back to its original position.
  3. Install the driver seat back cover retainers(x7) to the driver seat back frame.
  4. Install the driver seat back shell. See Shell - Seat Back - Driver Seat (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
