- Properly mount the vehicle on a frame bench when performing this procedure.

Repair Procedure
- Remove the Shotgun Outer.
- Remove the Dash Crossmember.
- Remove the Front Subframe Support.
- Remove the original component.

Prepare to
install the Longitudinal Upper on the Front Frame Rail Service part.
or
High Strength Structural Rivets, 6.5 mm
- A = 73 mm
- B = 63 mm
- Apply structural adhesive to the Longitudinal Upper and the Front Frame Rail Service part.
- Install the Longitudinal Upper on the Front Frame Rail Service part.

Perform resistance spot
welding.

Welding on a Tesla vehicle with an energized high or low voltage system might damage vehicle components. -
Prepare for installation.
NoteA red X indicates a location where a factory-installed fastener is not being replaced.

High Strength Structural Rivets, 6.5 mm

Structural Bulb Rivets, 6.5 mm

Countersunk Rivets, 4.8 mm Short
NoteThe installation location for some rivets is offset from the location of some factory spot weld locations.or
Countersunk Rivets, 4.8 mm Long
or
Bolts
- C = 10 mm
- D = 9 mm
- Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.

Install the new component or components.
Torque the bolts to 22 Nm.
- Remove/Install the Front Subframe Support.
- Install the Dash Crossmember.
- Install the Shotgun Outer.
- Install the butyl patch as shown.
- Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
