Repair Information

Review all collision repair general practices and safety documentation and wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) before beginning this procedure.
This procedure can be completed without using a frame bench.

Repair Procedure

Remove the Wheelhouse Extension (Front).
Remove the original component.
Warning
The remaining portion of the wheelhouse must overlap the service part by a minimum of 25 mm in the inboard areas.

Note
The measurements shown indicate the outer boundaries (maximum size) of the repair area, and a smaller repair area may be cut. If damage extends beyond this area, contact Tesla Collision Repair for assistance.

Note
Use the service part as a reference for material removal from the Cast Rear Under Body. Bulk cut as needed until the service part fits in the repair area.

Prepare for installation.
Warning
The remaining portion of the wheelhouse must overlap the service part by a minimum of 25 mm in the inboard areas.

Note
The service part is installed from the underside of the wheelhouse.

Note
A red X indicates a location where a factory-installed fastener is not being replaced.

Prepare for installation.
Warning
The remaining portion of the wheelhouse must overlap the service part by a minimum of 25 mm in the inboard areas.

Note
The service part is installed from the underside of the wheelhouse.

Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
Install the new component or components.
Apply seam sealer to the entire outboard edge of the new component.
Install the Wheelhouse Extension (Front).
Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
