Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure (Structural Pack).
  2. Remove the Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the Seat Back - 2nd Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the HV Battery (AWD) (Non-Structural Pack) (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the Carpet - Interior Complete (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the Carrier - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the original component.

  13. Prepare for installation.

  18. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  19. Install the new component or components.
  20. Perform resistance spot welding.

    CAUTION
    Do not weld on a Tesla vehicle before performing the Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure (refer to the vehicle-specific Service Manual for more information on the Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure). Welding on a Tesla vehicle with an energized high or low voltage system might damage vehicle components.
  21. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
  22. Install the Carrier - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  23. Install the Carpet - Interior Complete (Remove and Replace).
  24. Install the HV Battery (AWD) (Non-Structural Pack) (Remove and Install).
  25. Install the Seat Back - 2nd Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
  26. Install the Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  27. Install the Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  28. Install the Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  29. Install the Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure (Structural Pack).
