Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the Windshield (HW4) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure.
  4. Remove the Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the Hood (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the Beam - Cross Car (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the Steering Column (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the A/C Line - Supermanifold to HVAC (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the original component.

    When drilling out spot welds, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.

  16. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.

Welding on a Tesla vehicle with an energized high or low voltage system might damage vehicle components.
