Remove
- Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
- Move the front seats backward.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect the LV power. See .
- Remove the cabin intake duct. See .
- Remove the access panel. See .
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See .
- Remove the LH and RH wiper arms and blades. See .
- Remove the LH and RH shock tower covers. See .
- Remove the cowl screen panel. See .
- Remove the wiper module. See .
- Remove the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See .
- Remove the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See .
- Remove the passenger footwell cover. See .

Remove the glove box. See

NoteNo need to remove the glove box USB cable.
- Remove the RH footwell duct. See .

Disconnect the RH airwave
duct thermistor connector.
- Remove the RH air wave duct. See .
- Remove the driver footwell cover. See .
- Remove the driver footwell duct. See .
- Remove the center console end panel. See .
- Remove the LH center console front panel. See .
- Remove the RH center console front panel. See .

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the LH and RH rear of the center console to the body.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the LH front of the center console to the body.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the RH front of the center console to the body.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Disconnect the electrical
connector from the rear of the center console.

Release the clip and disconnect the electrical connector from the front of
the center console.
-
Remove the center console assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the lower instrument panel. See .
- Remove the driver airbag. See .
- Remove the steering wheel. See .
- Remove the steering column upper shroud. See Shroud - Upper - Steering Column (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the steering column lower shroud. See .
- Remove the steering column control module. See

Remove the instrument panel
service panel. See .
NoteNo need to remove the cabin temperature sensor from the service panel.
- Remove the touchscreen. See .
- Remove the instrument panel speaker grille. See .
- Remove the LH and RH dash speakers. See .
- Remove the center dash speaker. See .
- Remove the IP carrier. See
- Remove the LH air wave duct. See .

Release the clips (x2) that
attach the headliner electrical harness to the LH lower A-pillar trim.
-
Release the clip that
attaches the IP electrical harness to the LH portion of the cross car
beam.
-
Release the holding mounts
(x2) that attach the HVAC electrical harness to the cross car beam.
-
Release the holding mounts
(x2) that attach the HVAC electrical harness to the RH of the cross car
beam.
-
Release the clips (x4) and
harness holder that attach the IP electrical harness to the top of the cross
car beam.
-
Release the clips (x4) that
attach the IP electrical harness to the RH of the cross car beam.
-
Release the clips (x2) that
attach the headliner electrical harness to the RH lower A-pillar trim.
-
Disconnect the IP electrical
harness connector from the steering column.
-
Release the bracket buckles
(x2) that secure the connectors to the cross car beam.
-
Release the clip that
attaches the SCCM electrical harness to the cross car beam.
-
Remove the nuts (x4) that
attach the steering column to the cross car beam.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 13 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Lower the steering column and set it aside.

Remove the clip that
attaches the LH side of the main carpet to the footwell area.
-
Remove the clip that
attaches the RH side of the main carpet to the footwell area.
- Remove the LH and RH instrument panel support brackets. See .
- Remove the LH and RH cross beam bar brackets. See .

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the LH corners of the cross car beam to the body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 15 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the RH corners of the cross car beam to the body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 15 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolt that
attaches the cross car beam to the HVAC assembly.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
-
Loosen the bolt that
attaches the cross car beam to the upper side of the cowl.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13mm 12-point combination wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 13 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x4) that
attach the cross car beam to the HVAC assembly.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the steering column to the body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 13 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

With an assistant, remove
the cross car beam from the vehicle and place it on a support stand or
table.
Install
-
With assistance, position the cross car beam in the vehicle for
installation.
CAUTIONDo not damage the interior when installing the cross car beam in the vehicle.

Hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the RH corners of the cross car
beam to the body.
-
Hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH corners of the cross car
beam to the body.
-
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the steering column to the body.
25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 13 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install the bolt that attaches the cross car beam to the upper side of the
cowl.
25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 13mm 12-point combination wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 13 mm socket

Install the bolt that attaches the cross car beam to the HVAC
assembly.
5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Hand-tighten the bolts (x4) that attach the cross car beam to the HVAC
assembly.
- Install the LH and RH cross beam bar brackets. See .
- Install the LH and RH instrument panel support brackets. See .

Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the headliner electrical harness to the
LH lower A-pillar trim.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the IP electrical harness to the LH portion
of the cross car beam.
-
Fasten the holding mounts (x2) that attach the HVAC electrical harness to
the cross car beam.
-
Fasten the clips (x4) and harness holder that attach the IP electrical
harness to the top of the cross car beam.
-
Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the IP electrical harness to the RH of
the cross car beam.
-
Fasten the holding mounts (x2) that attach the HVAC electrical harness to
the RH of the cross car beam.
-
Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the headliner electrical harness to the
RH lower A-pillar trim.
-
Fasten the bracket buckles (x2) that secure the connectors to the cross car
beam.
-
Connect the IP electrical harness connector to the steering column.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the LH side of the main carpet to the
footwell area.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the RH side of the main carpet to the
footwell area.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the SCCM electrical harness to the cross car
beam.
- Position the steering column for installation.
-
Install the nuts (x4) that attach the steering column to the cross car
beam.

- Install the LH air wave duct. See .
- Install the IP carrier. See
- Install the LH and RH dash speakers. See .
- Install the center dash speaker. See .
- Install the instrument panel speaker grille. See .
- Install the touchscreen. See .

Install the instrument panel service panel. See .
NoteNo need to install the cabin temperature sensor to the service panel.
- Install the steering column control module. See
- Install the steering column lower shroud. See .
- Install the steering column upper shroud. See Shroud - Upper - Steering Column (Remove and Replace).
- Install the steering wheel. See .

- Install the lower instrument panel. See .

Install the center console assembly to the vehicle.

Fasten the clip and connect the electrical connector to the front of the
center console.

Connect the electrical
connector from the rear of the center console.

Install the bolts (x2) that
attach the RH front of the center console to the body.

Install the bolts (x2) that
attach the LH front of the center console to the body.
