Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the Rear Quarter Inner (Panel).
  2. Remove the Parcel Shelf Extension (Rear).
  3. Remove the original component.

    Note
    When drilling out spot welds, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.
  4. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the EXTN, PARCEL SHELF FRONT and the ASY, PARCEL SELF RETRACTOR REIF.
  5. Assemble the EXTN, PARCEL SHELF FRONT and the ASY, PARCEL SELF RETRACTOR REIF to create the new component.

  6. Prepare for installation.

  7. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  8. Install the new component or components.
  9. Install the Parcel Shelf Extension (Rear).
  10. Install the Rear Quarter Inner (Panel).
  11. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
