CAUTION
Incorrect use of the Vacuum Refill Tool can result in rupture of the cooling system and possible flooding of High Voltage components.
  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Put the vehicle in Service Mode. See .
  3. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See .

  5. Disconnect LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the cabin intake duct. See 槽 - 上部 - 驾驶室进气（拆卸和更换）.
  8. Remove the cap from the coolant bottle.
  9. Place an empty coolant container in the front underhood storage.
  10. Set a container having at least 15 L of coolant in front underhood storage.
  11. Attach the vacuum refill cap to the coolant bottle.
  12. Make sure that coolant refill valve and air inlet valve on the vacuum refill tool are both closed.
  13. Install the vacuum refill hose into the refill cap on the coolant bottle.

    Note
    Perform a push-pull test to verify that the hose is fully installed.
  14. Place the vacuum refill tool coolant refill hose inside the filled coolant container and make sure the end of the hose is fully submerged in the coolant.
  15. Place the end of the overflow hose of the vacuum refill tool into the empty container.
  16. Connect the supply air line to the vacuum refill tool.

    Note
    If not already done, verify that the refill valve is set to off.
  17. Open the air inlet valve and allow the tool to evacuate the cooling system, and then fully close the valve.

    Note
    The vacuum should stabilize at approximately -27 to -24 inHg or -70 to -60 cmHg.
  18. Monitor the pressure gauge for 30 seconds and verify that no leaks are present.

    CAUTION
    If the gauge moves towards positive pressure, a leak is present. Discontinue this procedure and troubleshoot the leak.
  19. Slowly open the coolant refill valve to draw coolant into the cooling system. When the gauge reaches zero, close the valve.

    Note
    Make sure the end of the coolant refill hose is fully submerged during the entire process.
  20. Disconnect the supply air line from the tool.
  21. Remove the coolant refill hose from the coolant container.
  22. Remove the coolant overflow hose from the coolant container.
  23. Remove the vacuum refill hose from the refill cap on the coolant bottle.
  24. Remove the vacuum refill cap from the coolant bottle.

    Note
    Push down on the black ring to release the hose, and then pull the hose upward to remove it.
  25. Lift the coolant refill tool above the coolant container to allow excess coolant to drain from the hoses.

  26. Remove both coolant containers from the vehicle.

    Note
    It is important that the drive rails remain off throughout this procedure. If the drive rails become active, such as from touching the brake pedal, an error is displayed in Toolbox. If this happens, you must disable the drive rails, and repeat the step where the error occurred.
  2. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  3. Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See .
  4. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See .

  9. Remove the outer HVAC plenum duct. See 气室 - 入口 - HVAC（拆卸和更换）.
  10. Remove the cap from the superbottle.
  11. Place an empty coolant container in the front underhood storage.
  12. Set a container having at least 15 L of coolant in front underhood storage.
  13. Make sure that the end of the coolant refill hose of the vacuum refill tool is fully submerged in the coolant container.
  14. Plug the superbottle weep hole with a piece of butyl rope.
  15. Attach the vacuum refill tool to the superbottle with the conical adapter.
  16. Make sure that coolant refill valve and air inlet valve of the vacuum refill tool are both closed.
  17. Put the end of the overflow hose of the vacuum refill tool into the empty container.
  18. Connect the supply air line to the vacuum refill tool.

  19. Open the air inlet valve and allow the tool to evacuate the cooling system, and then fully close the valve.

  22. Once the gauge reads zero, close the coolant refill valve.
  23. Open the air inlet valve for at least 3 minutes, and monitor the air bubbles seen in the superbottle.
  24. When air bubbles are no longer seen and the gauge stops rising, close the valve.
  25. Disconnect the supply air line from the tool.
  26. Remove the coolant refill hose from the coolant container.
  27. Remove the coolant overflow hose from the coolant container.
  28. Remove the vacuum refill hose from the refill cap on the coolant bottle.
  29. Remove the vacuum refill cap from the coolant bottle.
  30. Lift the coolant refill tool above the coolant container to allow excess coolant to drain from the hoses.

  36. If the ancillary bay cover was removed as part of another procedure, monitor the coolant input and output tubes and fittings for leaks during the air purge.
  37. Remove the piece of butyl rope from the superbottle weep hole.
  38. Add coolant to the superbottle, so that the liquid level is approximately 6mm (0.25 in) above the MAX line, and then install the cap on the superbottle.
