Body Side Outer

Using this Document

There are several variations of the Body Side Outer procedure. To determine which procedure should be used:

  1. Identify which version of Rear Node is currently in the vehicle.
    • Generation 1: Installed before November 5, 2014
    • Generation 2: Installed after November 5, 2014

    Refer to Model S Rear Node Versions for more information.

  2. Identify which version of B–Pillar is currently in the vehicle.
    • Generation 1: Installed through October 11, 2016
    • Generation 2: Installed after October 11, 2016

    Refer to Model S B–Pillar Generation Identification for more information.

Select the procedure that corresponds to the combination of both the Rear Node and the B–Pillar in the vehicle.
